    Channel은 비지니스에도 많이 쓰죠. 영업 또는 유통망을 Channel이라고 부르고 미국에서는 Channel Manager를 두는 곳이 많습니다.
    Evernote라는 디지털메모앱을 쓰는데, 그 날 우선적으로 처리해야 할 일을 Issues at hand라는 제목을 달아 기록해 놓고 하나씩 Check out하고 있습니다.
    back on track도 제가 참 즐겨 쓰는 표현입니다.

    저는 넷플릭스 the circle 이라는 리얼리티쇼에서 channel 이란 말이 많이 나와서 알게됐는데 거기서는 I'm channeling you 이렇게 쓰더라구요ㅎㅎ channel into 는 몰랐는데 구슬쌤 덕분에 제대로 된 뜻 알아가요 :)

    사내에서 토론하다보면 주제에 벗어난 얘기할때 digress 라는 표현도 자주 사용하더하구요 제가 자주 듣늘 말 ㅋㅋ

    오늘 내용이랑 상관없는 건데 물어봐도 될까요? It’s like when Jim called us askin’ if we wanted some beans an’ I had to tell him to leave ‘em in the truck at church. I swan how folks talk when men come ’round a widow. 에서 에 나오는 ' 는 뭐고 어떻게 이해해야 하나요?

      ‘ 붙여서 줄임말로 쓴걸거에요. 보시면 아시겠지만 원형은 asking, and, them, around 같은데 . 전 an’ 은 첨보네요. ‘n’ 은 본적있어요.

      @@candied49 이것도 아퍼스트로피라고 하나요? 'Trilobite'라는 단편소설에 나오는 문장인데 웨스트버지니아 사투리인 듯해요. turtle을 turkle이라고 쓰더군요.

      @@atmangle 어퍼스트로피라고 명칭하는 건 맞아요. 저도 지식이 얕은지라 원어민 친구에게 물어보니. 이런식으로 쓴건 화자의 말하는 방식이라고 생각한다네요. 모든 사람이 저런식으로 말하고 글을 쓰는건 아니니까요. 특히나 소설에서 사용된거라면 화자의 배경을( 예를 들면 자라난곳 교육수준 생활배경 등등이요) 보여주기위해 작가에 의해 의도적으로 선택된 방법이라고 보여진데요.
