I totally agree with you that these will be coach of the year winners next year they are superb. The mechanism on the articulated coaches is great. The livery is superb with the coach interior detail and the silver foil application on the coaches are superb. The lighting is great and each coach having a stay alive in them for flicker free running is superb. All in all these coaches are going to be very collectable and very much sought after great job Hornby when you get things right you really do get things right superb
Its a fitting finale to a superb recreation. Im so pleased that Hornby have really done this legendary train true justice! Next is the challenge to find some appropriately chic and well-dressed passengers to populate the empty seats..
Hi, this is a very well detailed coach, I must admit that the interior looks incredible, all the coaches should have similar interior fixtures, if there are any sets left next year then I might get a set, the lighting could have been a dcc controlled option for dcc users, such a shame the designer of these lovely coaches didn’t get involved in the APT class 370 set when they came out, Hornby have done a very good job here, for me the best coach I’ve seen with all it’s features is the Revolution Trains Caroline model from last year, hard act to follow in my opinion, thanks for sharing.
This would be the one that BR reuilt in a more angular form and used on the Devon Belle on the Southern. I travelled in it when it was employed on the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh service run in 1968.
Excellent review here Peter, ordered mine from Gaugemaster and while payment was taken on Friday last week mine has yet to arrive, looked fantastic running with the rest of the set and Dominion of Canada, as I;said on your review of the articulated coaches I will be using my bachmann version of Dominion if Canada for mine, great review and running session here peter, while I’m not best pleased about the amount of time mine is taking I know I’m in for a great model when it finally does arrive, It will be my second overall observation car as earlier this year I managed to get one of the Devon Belle pullman ones, keep up the great work.
Lets hope they do a Siver Jubilee set of coaches now i think the tooling they have from the Coronation coaches should be able to make the Silver Jubilee rake not sure if they would havevto make from the ground up they could also do a 2nd set of Coronation Coachescwith the observation car from this tooling
Awesome railcar Peter!!! Have fun with it! Cheers Onno.

I'll have to fit some passengers at some point I suppose, but no idea where to find appropriate figures from. I'll have to get searching

Excellent review of the coach winner of the decade maybe? It would be interesting if the interior design of the seats will be used on future coaches.
Thank you, will be interesting to see if we see more interiors like this in future. I hope so

If Hornby ever announce they are doing the rebuilt version, that's an instant pre-order from me
