Awesome finds ❤ you could cut into that roll of marines' photo and signature into smaller photos and use those as original ephemera in journals and you can make photocopy of the original date and add it on each photo you cut as a label (I hope I'm making sense 😅)
You’re making perfect sense and that’s a great idea to pair a photo with the date and/or a signature! Signatures seem to be a popular addition with junk journalers these days. I will definitely scan the back, so thanks for that suggestion. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.
Awesome things!! How do you clean the metal buttons? I have some and they are quite delicate so I don't want to ruin or tarnish them. They were my grandmother's. 🥰🥰🥰
Hi, Kimberly. I haven’t really tackled the metal ones yet. I think I would start by wiping them with a soft, damp cloth and then drying them with a soft cloth. Some have a bit of that green patina and I’m wondering if a metal polish would be safe. I guess I will Google it and see what the experts recommend before I do anything. Thanks for watching again!
Hi, Dale. Thanks so much for watching. It is held on the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines. If you are on Facebook search for Iowa State Fairgrounds Flea Market and you’ll find announcements about the dates and which building they are in each month. Hope you can come sometime. There are a few months there’s no flea market.
Hi Carla, I'm a new subscriber who became aware of your channel during a #lovealittlechannel exchange of channel names to check out. I love your haul & the fact that you seem to know a great deal about antiques/vintage items. It also seems that you scored some great prices as well. Would you consider doing a video on the different types of buttons & how to identify them? I too have a button fetish! Thanks, Hazel
Hello, Hazel. Thanks so much for subscribing and for your kind words. I don’t feel I have enough knowledge about buttons to make a video. I haven’t studied them, and I just buy what’s interesting to my eye and is affordable. One thing I’ve read is that mother of pearl buttons feel cold in the hand and I have found that to be true!
I just typed identifying buttons into the TH-cam search and a bunch of videos popped up from folks who know a lot more than I do. Maybe one of those would be of interest to you. Thanks again for stopping by my channel.
@@boundtobevintage5321 Thanks, Carla.....but are they as charming (and helpful ) as you? My problem is there aren't enough hours in the day to watch all the videos I want to watch as well as create my own content. ~Hazel
What great finds! 😍❤️
Thank you, Carol! It’s time to have some fun with them.
Wow, you really find great stuff. That lace is beautiful and looks very vintage. I love everything you bought.
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate you watching my videos and taking the time to leave comments.
Great finds, Carla!! Pretty paper and leather treasures, and great unique buttons! ❤❤
Thanks, Sarah. Time to get crafting with them!!❣️
Hello, lovely finds. Just subscribed.
Thanks and welcome! So happy to have you come along on my thrifting adventures.
Very nice finds. 💕
Thanks, Christina! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. I feel lucky to have this flea market monthly.

I love the things you found! I live in southeast Iowa and would be interested in knowing where your monthly flea market is located.
