I could be wrong, but I don't think hookless wheels take inner tubes. Thought they were only to be set up tubeless??

I think they do, it all depends on the correct combination of wheels and tires.
Having a tube doesn’t affect things one way or another. The most important element is if the tire manufacturer approves a particular tire for hookless use.

You know brushes exist. Instead of using your fingers and leaving grease all over the bike
I cringed seeing that. Definitely not pretty but gave it a wipe down afterwards so it’s all good.
