I wish we could switch the dagger animations back like we do the armor appearances! Yeah, having a fully upgraded dagger is nice but I kinda wish to go back to the longer, more visceral assassinations without having to start a new character.
I think, Sakai Tanto takedowns level 1 shows that Jin doesn't really know how to kill a person from shadows and just improvises. Meanwhile Sakai Tanto level 2 takedowns already show the progress of his skill, like he already knows how to hold, where to attack, and stuff. Basically precision.
Those slaughters are fucking brutal… Imagine training for fuck knows how long in the Mongol Army and then a creepy guy in a demon mask comes up behind you and beheads you without anyone noticing…
This is the one time i wished that the "faster stealth kills" in the upgrades is just the animations being lazily sped up Yes i like how swift, smooth and fitting the level 3 stealth kills are but come on you can't deny the brutality of the first 2 levels is just satisfying as heck
Not a lot of people noticed this. During the animation where the enemy is being stabbed, he is actually doing the horn blowing from E3 2018 gameplay trailer.
1:36 There was this one time when I was playing this game, I tackled an enemy into a hut with this Takedown when I was about to get see and I thought it was so badass😂
@@grimm8528 Thank you! I am actually working on a new video of the new lvl 3 tanto animations, and now this video is slightly outdated, which is why I added the (Pre 2.00) in the video title.
tanto 3 has one more animation. to execute it, the enemy must be aware of you and either running horizontally or towards you. during the animation, Jin rushes up to the enemy, and quickly slits his throat, ear to ear, and watches as the enemy falls to the ground(by watch I mean he quickly turns his head to see the enemy fall and looks away after the animation is done)
Sleeping is actually the only kill type I never did, I know jin transforms throughout the story but killing someone while they’re sleeping just seemed to fucked up
This is what I hate about the stealth kills in Legends. • The Hunter, Ronin and Samurai all have the stage 2 kills (my favorites are 1:53, 2:20 and 2:25) but the Assassin just gets the stage 3 kills. This is especially annoying for me cuz the ability images for the assassin show him using the stage 2 kills
Ok someone please explain. I’ve replayed this game like 3 times and I’ve never seen those sick animations before whenever I do assassinations they are always the same like Sakai tanto 3 how do I get those cool and more realistic assassinations like 1 and 2??
U know I regret fully upgrading a Tonto because it's not that brutal the first upgrading is so much brutal because the struggle and Jin just tackles a mungle
Acquiring the assassination technique will grant you all of the animations for the Sakai Tanto I. The animations you get are contextualized whether you are in front of the enemy or not, and the animation is random. Upgrading from Sakai Tanto I to II or III will each give you a new set of animations which progressively get faster as your upgrade. TL/DR they are all random, and you get them from upgrading your Tanto.
Alright, well I'm trying to translate into readable English so forgive me. The assassinations in Legends begin at lvl 2, and the Assassin can upgrade them to lvl 3 with a technique.
Level 3 gas new animations that came with version 2.00 which dropped with the Iki Island expansion and Director's Cut that make the level 3 upgrade worth it.

If we all ask sucker-punch I'm sure they will listen
Well I mean the point of the upgraded one is to be faster, although I do feel like the fully upgraded ones are a bit too fast
That defeats the entire purpose of upgrading the tanto lol. If you want the longer animations, don't upgrade it.

And at level 3 Jin is simply The Ghost
@@bossjet2442 yeah, tho It's just two animations. Kinda boring to watch.
New assassination animations where patched in to the lvl 3 tanto with the update that released alongside the Director's Cut.

Level 1 and 2 with the knife is so much more fun and brutal than level 3, I wish i didnt upgrade it fully 😭

The update that released with the Iki Island expansion added 2 or 3 new animations to the level 3 tanto.

1:04 for some reason jin stoped doing this animation after act 1, it was my favorite kill 🥲
Its just rare
At 3:03 I love how the shield and sword goes flying away while the guy suddenly freezes. 😄
This game has pretty lot of bugs
@@NaufalNurend its not a bug its just bad animation optimization lol they couldve atleast made it look better
In the Sakai Tanto level sections I think level 2 has the best

1 would be better if Jin and the enemy wouldn't collide 🗿
real, especially the first one showed in the level 2 section, like it's just the most satisfying animation out of all of them for me
Fantastic video, are you going to do one for the combat animations for each stance?
Most likely! Only the heavy and charged heavy attack animations, though. There are just too many light attack animations to record!

Assassin getting only stage 3 speed and animations is a technique, I'm pretty sure. All of the classes have stage 2 speed and animations as default.
