Then, it's off to an unforgettable evening at Universal Studios, where we dive into the magic and get Blake on some of his favourite rides - and test him on some new ones. I remember staying on Idrive so many times with our children and without them! It was very nostalgic to see it again through your car window.
The rental car is a great idea it allows you to explore more and see different places.

We flew out on July 31st for 2 weeks, staying at the Margaritaville Resort Hotel and we would have been in the hotel while you were eating/filming in Ford’s Garage restaurant that day!
‘Estefan Kitchen’ restaurant (owned by Gloria Estefan) is just down from there which has a great vibe.
We headed off to Disney Springs in the afternoon/evening and bumped into Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things) and was chatting to him at the Uber drop off. Not a clue who he was until my girls told me.😆

@@thefinlayadventure I am currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s called the “QUeen City” it has a lot of English background & lots of people from the UK live here. Lots of little suburbs that are named after small British places like Cotswold, Windsor park, etc. & small British stores, etc. I love it. But, I was born & raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, until I moved here when I got married. That is amazing she met Diana! I wrote Diana when I was 10, in 1988 & I got a reply from her and have her letter she mailed to me framed. I’ve got a massive collection of Diana books, dolls, jewelry, magazines, etc! She’s my favorite & always will be. I’m sure Donna and I could talk about all things Diana for sure! I now collect all things still Diana, but mainly William/Catherine & family.
Wow - Charlotte sounds lovely. We would love to see more of the US when the kids get older and do a massive road trip. You and Donna could definitely talk for days! 😆 Lol

Made the most of the day shopping and having lunch at Ford Garage and afternoon/evening at Universal. Blake is another year older, and getting braver on MIB, etc. Well done, Blake.

Wow great first day. OMG I remember the 192 back in the late 90s giant colourful 3D billboards, the cheapy shops (which even today we love to go in) even though they are not massively cheap anymore! We stayed at the Double tree and the Ramada down there and there was a Bob Evans in front of the hotel, loads of Denim world shops lining the 192 and Cinderella castle dressed as a birthday cake! 🎂 3 weeks inc flights for £650! Best times ever. Xx look forward to seeing the rest of the vlogs. Xx
100% it was so vibrant and completely alien compared to the UK. Those billboards and shops were half of the draw of Florida for us.

We've just found your channel. Love watching your travels to Florida. This time next year we'll have been back home 1 day. Doing 2 weeks POFQ, then Loews Royal Pacific for a week. We have Guardianship for our 2 grandkids who both have Autism so we follow families like yourselves to see how you find it. We did Disney last year but the DAS pass has changed. Did you get it for Blake? Look forward to watching more. Did I catch u wearing a Newcastle shirt. Shame on you. Lol. We're from Washington, UK. I'm a LFC fan. Long story. Anyway take care. X

We were wondering about buying electrical items and using them in your hotel/villa and if they have any policies on that? In Australia we have electrical tagging and say if there’s a fire caused by that particular item, if it hasn’t been tested the insurance won’t cover the damage. We were thinking of getting an air fryer while we are there but not sure if we should..
any feedback is appreciated as we are not sure what the rules are is the US. ❤
Hi - thanks so much for watching. The electrical question is a tricky one. To be honest we're not sure of the answer. Check with the property you're staying at as they should have the info you need.

You need to take a trip. It feels very different to Walmart. Not necessarily better, but different

It's not a straightforward process as you have to go through IBCCES accessibility (Google it and take a look) they require you to submit a lot of paperwork etc. but once you have that pass, Universal will assess your needs which may include a conversation. Hope this helps?
Did you stay in Ramada Inn Gateway when you stayed with your Grandparents in 2006?.
We stayed there in Feb 2006.

Your wife is right about Waffle House. Southerners are known to trust the actions of what Waffle House does in bad weather over the meteorologists on tv. Sad how the UK has taken the path of the US: crime, horrible politicians, and other social ills. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought you lived in Orlando. Nice episode.
