    Arms
    1. Start standing straight, feet close together but not touching. While turning slightly to the right and bending at your waist, bend both arms at the elbow, raising your fists to waist level. Make sure your elbows are pointing outward. Bring both elbows to your sides. Bend your arms again.
    2. While bringing both elbows to your sides again, straighten back up. This part of the move is where you're resetting.
    3. While turning slightly to the left and bending at your waist, bend both arms at the elbow, raising your fists to waist level. Make sure your elbows are pointing outward. Bring both elbows to your sides. Bend your arms again, then reset.
    4. Repeat steps one through three.
    Legs
    1. Do a small jump, landing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. You should be standing on the balls of both feet. This is the reset position. In ballet terms, this is a relevé.
    2. Do a very small jump, landing with your right leg crossed in front of your left leg, knees bent and open. In ballet terms, this is the fifth position with a plié.
    3. Pivot both feet so that your legs are no longer crossed. After this, pivot both feet back to the previous position, so that your legs are crossed again with knees bent and open.
    4. Do a very small jump back to reset position. Repeat step two with your left leg crossing in front of your right. Repeat step three.
    The Full Move
    To combine the arms and the legs, start with step one of the legs. While doing step two of the legs, point those elbows out while leaning to the right. As you pivot your feet to uncross your legs, bring in those elbows. As you re-cross your feet, point out your elbows again. Reset the arms and legs. Repeat this in the other direction.

    The Brooklyn was born in the late '80s/early '90s in Brooklyn, NY. Dances like these were pioneered by many of the originators of hip hop dance choreography, such as Buddha Stretch, Link and the other members of the Elite Force Crew.
