Hello Tim Ross, it's good to hear from you again. When you came earlier this year and taught about the miracles of Jesus in the summer, I laughed at your jokes. And also I wanted you to know that I'm a member of Gateway church at the NRH campus, and that I share the same birthday with you too, lol 😆. I do like the way you teach people God's word to Gateway. And later by next year, I look forward to hearing from you again. Take care, and God bless you and your family.
@Preston Morrison Preston Morrison of Gateway church in Scottsdale, AZ. With this new name changed for your church, we ( GATEWAY ) sure hope that things will turn out for the good. It was good to hear pastor Robert share his thoughts on this new change with your church. Take care and God bless!
@Preston Morrison Hey Preston Morrison, how do you know truly that God did speak to you about changing the name of the church that you pastor? If the name was originally Gateway church in Scottsdale, AZ, why would God tell you to rename it to something else? How do you know that this was the name ( Pillar Church ) God told you to give to your church?
I just hit my 1 year at Gateway last week and just watching this entire exchange is absolutely incredible and blesses my soul. I’m so blessed to be where I am and EXTREMELY excited and proud of Pastor Preston and Pastor Robert for the leadership/mentorship exchange displaying such a great example. Love you both and excited for PILLAR CHURCH!
Something didn’t ’go down’. It was about to go down. One year later, the Lord would reveal. Can’t ever have our eyes on men. They will always fail us. 😢
Love hearing about the bright future of the Church! I love Pillar Church & Gateway Church. Pastor Preston is a great leader & Pastor, so anointed! Excited to be a part of the Pillar family!
40:55 thank you Robert for reminding me what is my purpose. I strongly feel that God wants me to move to Peru when I retire and help children in the mountains of Peru.
Wow really worship this pastor. Name change is the beginning of purpose so what have we been doing all these other years? Keep it fresh, new and moving ... says that things were getting stale, dull and stagnant.
Jesus should be your only hero. We should go to Him and look to him for guidance. Pastor Morris can be Human mentor but you should never have a man as a hero.
Today, a hero is someone who champions the cause of others. We may even use the word to describe someone because of what they have accomplished. A person who is courageous or is thought to have a noble character may be called a hero.
Have you personally shared your concerns with this pastor (perhaps through social media) as we are instructed to do by Jesus, or are you calling him out in front of everyone without first telling him your concerns ? This is an argument about word choice, not fundamental doctrine. In Hebrews 11, we see a long list of people who trusted God and accomplished great things by his grace. Many people call this chapter the “Heroes of the Faith” chapter. You don’t have to call them heroes, but God has decided to include a list of people to look to for inspiration- people who have doubted and failed, but who got back up again. There are other verses talking about looking to older believers for inspiration, but this post is long enough. The point is this: it’s biblical to look up to people other than Jesus. Don’t be hasty to judge others on their choice of words. If you’d like to politely share what you call such people (like a mentor or example), that’s just fine, but if you are quick to judge a church leader, especially without approaching him personally first, you are entering very dangerous waters from a scriptural point of view. -Andrew
I disagree wholeheartedly. Men who serve God with all their hearts can be hero’s. Nothing wrong with having hero’s, hero’s are not idols. Let’s put down the holier than thou attitudes and actually see what is said in context.
Dude just pre-reprimanded everyone In "his church" that doesn't default to "I'm in" regarding a name change on their church. He told his entire congregation that he's not in control of his emotions and they are responsible for him not getting offended. This is not how adults act. This is childish. Huge red flag!
. God doesn’t intellectually talk to you either. That voice you’re hearing is Satan. Gods voice is a voiceless voice, He reveals truth to you from within.
You do you. I guess when Yahweh talked to Moses and he said God told me he was lying to right? You want to follow pastors who don’t say they hear from God go right ahead!
I love to see this. I love to hear this. I love to see them. I love Robert. I love Preston. I love Pillar.
Twin, only you. :))

Love Pastor Robert Morris! Always will!
Pastor Morrison, I literally screamed out loud how good that was, at that analogy on marriage and transition you gave! That is SO GOOD. My goodness.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! Your hero Robert has been exposed
on a very small matter in the bigger picture: lords protection? one can make the case...
Would love to see Robert sit down with Dr. Jordan Petersonto talk about the truth of scripture and on the inerrancy of the word of God?
Tim Ross, should I say anymore

They say never meet your heros! 😂

He’s a hero a champion of the faith FOR JESUS! Who are you to judge another man’s servant?

A hero is not the same as an idol Linda.

Your prayer sounds from your mouth. But you’re not a good actor.
Run from these kind of "God told me" leaders. Next they will tell you "God told me the church needs to buy me Lear jet"
