Synopsis
Both highly suspenseful and deeply emotional, ROOM is a unique and unexpectedly tender exploration of the boundless love between a mother and her child under the most harrowing of circumstances.
ROOM tells the extraordinary story of Jack (Jacob Tremblay in a breakout performance), a spirited 5 year-old who is looked after by his loving and devoted Ma (Brie Larson, SHORT TERM 12, TRAINWRECK). Like any good mother, Ma dedicates herself to keeping Jack happy and safe, nurturing him with warmth and love and doing typical things like playing games and telling stories. Their life, however, is anything but typical-they are trapped-confined to a windowless, 10-by-10-foot space, which Ma has euphemistically named “Room.” Ma has created a whole universe for Jack within Room, and she will stop at nothing to ensure that, even in this treacherous environment, Jack is able to live a complete and fulfilling life. But as Jack’s curiosity about their situation grows, and Ma’s resilience reaches its breaking point, they enact a risky plan to escape, ultimately bringing them face-to-face with what may turn out to be the scariest thing yet: the real world. ROOM also stars three-time Academy Award® nominee Joan Allen and Academy Award® nominee William H. Macy.

This movie is amazing she totally deserved to win the oscar

Such a touching story. They both made a beautiful movie.
The film defines the real relationship/bonding between the mother and her child. Who creates a wall for all the bad things and protects his/her child. In response, the children give him a new life. Sucking her pain and fills him with happiness.
Mother is like a nature that gives everything even if it ends up on its own And the child is like an angel who keeps grooming him.
This is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. Bri and Jacob are incredible, their chemistry is beautiful. It's heavy and dark but manages to still be uplifting. A truly extraordinary film. It's in my top five favorite movies.
This movie was pure gold
I read the novel twice in one week and then again and then I saw the movie...It's one of the most amazing stories ever told because of the way it's told both in the book and through the film. The story really resonated with me personally because I was very sick for over two years and I couldn't go anywhere. I had to stay in my bedroom most of the time. I saw no one and went no where unless it was to see a doctor. And then I found out that my family and I had to leave our home; the home I had lived in since I was a small child in the country. So, for me it really was like leaving "room" and seeing "world" again and yet, for the first time. I was so scared liked Jack is at first but Ma and Jack's story gave me courage and strength. Now I'm back in "world" and I'm not sick anymore

Even this movie is much better than super action movie... without too much animation effect or sth else, this movie has made me get warm-hearted and understood that ma (and my mom) is the greatest and perfect creature that god has given on the world.. ma can represent the real Ma... congrats
After this movie, Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay have officially earned my respect. Room is one of the saddest movies ever and one of my favorite movies of all time. Brie and Jacob absolutely deserved their Oscars for their roles.

This is actually one of the rare movies where I really enjoyed the movie but couldn't handle finishing the book. The narration of the book sort of irked me, as opposed to the movie where the kid did such an amazing job just bringing out the story.
