Since we have found out that the aspect ratio would be changing... I've started "practicing" and flipping my inner display to get used to it... My personal findings 1. I don't LOVE it 2. I must admit Most phone apps DO look better in the portrait aspect ratio 3. Kindle app absolutely looks and functions better in landscape and I love being able to put the little crease in it like a real book. But most apps do look better on the portrait orientation which is why I think they are switching to avoid stretching apps 😔
I wish the rumors were wrong, i prefer the current aspect ratio maks google pixel one recognized and unique

Appreciate the hard work! I'd love an eight inch main display as it would truly bring it into tablet territory. Never understood having a foldable that ends up being the same size as a normal smartphone.
going the other form factor will be the death of this device. Its the surface duo all over again. It wasnt the success they wanted so they made it like the others except now your value proposition loses out to samsung because part of your user base prefers the old and the ones you try to reach will go for samsung
This screen 8inch size nothing new if anyone know about Xiaomi mix fold and Vivo X Fold.If this is true,im so disappointed because i love the form of the Fold 1,Google just to kill the bezel of the Fold 1,put the punch hole or under screen camera for the Fold 2,more battery and better camera, that is enough to call it Fold 2

I can't help but wonder... What if you rotate that piece of paper clockwise and the fold it like that? Would be an epic troll moment if Google actually releases a phone with those dimensions 😅
One Plus offered $1,050 for my Fold so I tried it. It's a nice phone but the hassle of not having wireless charging, plus Oxygen OS, plus the larger form factor made me return it after one day. So happy to have my simple, squat Fold next to me on a charger.
I’m open to a new screen ratio….but I really hope they drop some weight and install a screen similar to the OnePlus Open.
I was against the new form factor, but it seems that we are getting just a bigger/taller pixel fold? I use laptop mode so much to watch videos in bed and stuff so this would actually work out well for me. Almost like going from 16:9 to 16:10.

I kind of believe on leaks over Russ Young. On leaks pretty much always has the correct measurements that I've seen over the years for the Google Pixel phones.
They are both historically quite good, but OnLeaks certainly has a great reputation. I've seen him sort of fill in the blanks on some details though, I think that's what's happening here.

Googles lack of updates for AI and feature drop for pixel fold 1, makes the pixel fold 2 only an idiot would buy 😂
Pixel fold has gotten updates every month plus feature drops at the exact same rate as every other Pixel. The only AI features it's missing besides Circle to Search are ones exclusive to Pixel 8, which has better hardware as it's newer. Just making sure that's clear because I see lots of comments like this that only it's just not getting updates and features when in fact it's gotten more updates and more new features than any other foldable launched last year.

The word "they" can apply to anyone, that's how pronouns work. Let me give you an example. I could say "I just got the dumbest comment I've ever seen" and then someone should say "oh yeah?
