    Ramiz is playing the tar with his heart mixed to his fingers. I am an Armenian but I bow my head to him as my respect to this artist. he is playing for humans with heart not only for Azeries. He is an international treasure. I hope one day peace will be between Armenians and Azeries and all other Nations. sagh ol Ramiz

    I'm from Canada, and I have no Iranian/Azerbaijan heritage, and I think this is one of the coolest sounding instruments in the world.

    Great performance, great music and a great virtuoz , one can find a lot of Jazz and Blouz elements in this ancient kind of improvization in Azerbayjani Folk musics.

    Pirooz, I am Persian Iranian, You are right about the history,but let's listen to Azeri music and enjoy their great culture...what's the use of these long and nonsense discussions, The truth is they are there and we should respect them....let's help our Azeris keep their culturl treasures alive. We are from the same blod and history and we are brothers.

    This is way of playing Tar in Azerbaijan. Many great Tar players were from Azerbaijan, Bahram Mansurov (I remember his CD discs issued in Paris by UNESCO in Soviet times), Ramiz Guliyev, legendary tar players Kurban Pirimov and Sadikhjan. This is from the book by Firudin Shushali (Shushinski) "Musicians of Azerbaijan"(in Russian) published in Baku,1989. Sadihjan(1846-1902) was born in Shusha (Karabakh).

    What a great master! I have always been amazed by Ramiz Guliyev's artistry.
    By the way in Iran we caal this "Tar", the Caucasian (Gafghaz) tar, there is also a persian tar wich is the most popular instrument in Iran.

    Sadihjan was not only great tar player but also innovator. He modified tar with 17 tones and was first man who played tar up to chest. This is different from way tar is playing in Iran. Among his students Meshedi Jamil Amirov (father of classical composer Fikret Amirov), Bahram Mansurov and others.

    The tār (Persian: تار) shared by many cultures and countries like Iran, Afganistan, Armenia, Georgia, Republic of Azerbaijan, and other areas near the Caucasus region. The word tar ( تار) itself means "string" in Persian, though it might have the same meaning in languages influenced by Persian or any other branches of Iranian languages like Kurdish.

    Turks ruled Iran for ages, and also Turks used Persian Language for ages, so, Iran is the name of the Geographic place, in Iran, there are alot of nations; Turks(Azeri, Turkmen, Qashqai, etc.) Persians, Kurds, Belucis. They all used the Persian Language for communication.

    Probably as much as Pele owes to someone/some people who invented football.

    I cannot understand why some Arian-Islamist friends write insulting comments wherever they find a popular Azeri music. Unfortunately, this provokes some Turks to write insulting comments, too. Shouldn't the Iranians discuss their political, and mostly racist, opinions in the politically oriented sites?

    I like all and any kind of music that has quality and is played with feelings or Technics or something worthed to spend time to listen. I have open mind but smart and demanding taste. No question that Ramiz is one of the best if not the best TAR CHALAN. that does not blind me to hear and like other nations and artistic way of playing music but I am not like CAN AXX in this page that rejects other musics. If he has a honest and open mind he will not say what he has said in this site. Shame on you . Utan kishi get va aghlivi boshat safeh fikirlardan .

    • @SasapessoS
      @SasapessoS 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +edward hagobian You're delusional. Technically there has been Azerbaijan state since 1918. Azerbaijan as a region of Persia (not as a different country) has been in existence in almost thousand years. In terms of origins of present Azerbaijanis, genetically we are closer to Armenians, Georgians and even Persians than Central Asians. Only 5% of our genetic material is somewhat similar to Turkmens. The rest is from the region. It can be said that we were turkified, got a Turkic language and fair amount of traditions. We Azeris have chosen our own identity, doesn't matter some of Azeris originally were Armenians, Persians or other Caucasian ethnic groups and got assimilated, brutalized, forced to meld into one name. We have created ourselves. And even God - call him Allah, Yahweh or Jesus, cannot take our names from ourselves. We stay above gods, for we know what is to create one's own self, to come from yourself, not from some historical background other nations boost. To be divine is to create yourself, choose a god, and have a country that had never existed before. Azerbaijan is peer to all the gods in that respect.

    • @edwardhag17
      @edwardhag17 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sasapesso S Azarbaijan was created by Stalin for political reasons. Your Allah was created by Arabs not you. we were forced to have the same ,to be like you , but we had already the history ,the language, the culture and being massacred many times in history ,we are what we wanted to . It is not the religion that we survived , it was the culture, established before being christian. peers of our identity is the culture not the religion. Even those in turkey who were forced by Ottomans to become muslim ,they kept their language and culture and today one by one they are coming back . But were the Turkish/Azeri language came from ??. i fnot from central Asia where else??. I am not a christian because I dont believe in any miracles , fatherless child , or many other superstitious Biblical /Koranik/Shinto, Buddhist.... or any other stories. Because I believe in my and your brain and nature and facts and science not the thing that is not inside that logical brain. a country without culture , one day will be a part of Iran/ Russia/ Greek/ Mongols... and not to know what is his identity but if you have the culture you ban be massacred ,deported,killed,for centuries and gain your country and identity again.

    Iran is the name of the land, not a nation. All over Iran, Turks have been living for ages. Mostly turks have ruled the middle, west and south-west asia for ages...
    Persians are the descendents of European occupiers (roman and greek empires) their language is indo european, the sculptures are similar... etc.

    Acronym44 Tell me please what to translate?. If you are asking about can axx it is not worthed to translate his comments . Looks like he is proud of being Turk or Azeri without having any respect for civilized and advanced people in the world. However even though being an Armenian myself and having suffered genocides commuted by Turks and Azeries to us ,I appreciate any artist in the world including this Maestro . Now tell me in detail what is the thing that you are interested to know or translated. Ignore this idiot. He knows some Armenian but not the culturally rich ones and he is using profane language. if you shake him all will drop is "pokh" ask him what means POKH.

    • @SasapessoS
      @SasapessoS 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +edward hagobian What? When did Azeris genocide you? Those atrocities were done by Turks, and nobody can justify them. As an Azeri I'm fed up with being called responsible in any way with 1915. I agree with you on respecting art outside our narrow nationalistic views. That is why many in Azerbaijan respect Aram Khachaturian and other great Armenians. BTW being victims doesn't make anyone better or worse person. You are what you are and suffering is just pox.
