His phrasing is so unique, Satch is the man.
Joe is so cool and like a friend instead of being a snooty famous guitar hero he's just so down to earth even though his playing is light year's ahead, rock on Joe.
Joe should make his own scale, publish it, and make it so nobody else can use it. lol
cool sound joe!i see a cool red powertool on the table!in which song did you use it!
haha, I agree with what you're saying, trust me, I know Satch...he is much more than legato but he seems...hmmm...how do i put this: more tasteful. Some ppl have the idea that shred is just guitar wanking and I hate when ppl think that is all musicians like Satch do.
idk where i stand yet on this argument (i do love satch and all the afore mentioned artists though) But if playing fast solos makes someone a shredder then would that make musicians like allan holdworth shredders?
nothing against yngwie...he is great for learning technique but that, for instance, is not tasteful. at least to me. And i would imagine a lot of ppl (referencing g3 denver jams)
that was the idea of that album i believe, an album with less effects than his regular songs. kinda bluezy!
ok...i was just wondering what ppl think "shred" is
@VoyagerAbove Mate he has earned the right to brag if he wants to...he is an innovator whether we like it or not.A huge portion of the way lead guitar is played today is due to his influence.How many guitarists you know that can say that? Plus...why do you even care about his attitude..he is a musican not your..brother in law or your friend.Want a beer buddy or listen to a guitar player? those dont always coexist you know.
ya, exactly. I mean, when i think shred I inherently think yngwie and of course some others like gilbert but i don't think satch. In my opinion, legato is different than shred...if it were the same, then beethoven would be a shredder. Don't get me wrong, shredding isn't bad, it's just everyone has a different opinion (MAB shredding is bad though :P)
@iRawk UGHU boss sucks UGHU
i love listening to satch talk as much as i do to hear him play... jk, nothing is as amazing as listening to him play. even though his conversations are fascinating
i noticed he picks parallel to the strings and he flicks it very strong..which is kinda different to syle to shredders..
@inesenthm You are right.He is.But he is one of the few that has...every right to be....
1:21 look at the strange pedal on the right : looks like a satchurator but in grey : was it his prototype of the ice 9 ?
Joes Rules!
@Cyberbob182 More likely a prototype Satchurator, this video is 2 years old
i wonder if Joe built all those amps and pedals with that drill in the background xD
