Exactly. He played in senia beenkar style. A similar approach Ustad Asad ali Khan used to take in his dhrupad renditions. There's so much similarity with khandar vaani Veena style.

True.. All the rhythyms are divine.. Even in the Koran of Muslims it is written that Prophet David was given the gift of Rhythm and Song and the mountains would sing along with him in praise of the Eternal Almighty.

Excellent & heavy style, the effect of the Raga is soul touching, it is only possible by sitarist like Pandit Ravishankar. What an alap!
This is how it should be, can't you just see those distant storm clouds drifting in & feel that heavy weight of humid oppression. Wonderful.
