    Let’s get cooking
    INGREDIENTS:
    1 pound dry ziti pasta
    1 pound lean ground turkey (optional)
    1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce
    1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
    1 tbsp. tomato paste
    1 tbsp. parsley or basil, finely chopped
    1 tbsp. honey
    1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
    1 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
    8 oz provolone cheese, deli sliced
    CHEESE FILLING:
    1 cup ricotta cheese
    1 cup sour cream
    1 egg, beaten
    1 cup grated parmesan cheese
    MEAT SEASONING (ONLY IF USING MEAT):
    2 tbsp. epis/ sofrito
    2 tsp. onion powder
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. sea salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. paprika
    TOOLS NEEDED:
    Strainer
    9”x13” baking dish
    Wooden spoon
    DIRECTIONS:
    Step 1
    In a medium sized saucepan, over medium heat; add oil, chopped onions
    and garlic, stir well until onions are soft. Add ground turkey, meat
    seasoning (if adding meat), and tomato paste. Mix well, let simmer for 2-3
    minutes. Stir in both pasta and marinara sauces, honey, and half of the
    parsley/cilantro, cover, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring
    occasionally.
    Step 2
    Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt and pasta and cook until al
    dente, about 7-8 minutes; drain. While the pasta is boiling, combine ricotta
    cheese, sour cream, the beaten egg, and parmesan cheese, and mix well.
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
    Step 3
    Spread 1/3 of the sauce onto the bottom of the baking dish. Mix the pasta
    with the remaining sauce until the pasta is evenly coated. Spread half of the
    pasta into the dish. Top with the ricotta cheese mixture and gruyere
    cheese. Cover with the remaining pasta. Top with the provolone cheese,mozzarella, and remaining chopped parsley
    Step 4
    Bake ziti in a preheated oven until cheeses have melted, about 25-30
    minutes. Serve warm!
