Michael Jones helped me out 2 weeks ago with customizing this exact kit. Been playing it all week. Sounds. Awesome! Michael and Kraft Music were great to deal with too.
Hi All, I believe that the iPad mount used in this video is the Ultimate JS-MNT101 Universal iPad Holder which is also found on Kraft Music's website. I bought the TD-25KV and LOVE it. Very responsive with great options and best of all, more practice time without bothering the wife :)
Great video. The ride cymbal does have three zones, i play Both on a Roland TD11KV and on a TD25 and Both are great kits and on the TD11 i combined my ride so i have a ride in the middle and another crash on the edge, but how do i do this on a TD25? I know how to change cymbal sound bit how do i change sound on individual zones, cause you pay for those high end cymbals cause they have all those zones
Mine will be here in a few weeks and I was hoping to learn more about how to connect computers and things. Seems pretty straight forward. Thanks for the video. I'm interested in which mount you're using to hold the iPad as well.
This video just made me buy this kit! Thank you sir!!!! I know this is an old video but does anyone know how many sounds there are on this edrum? I know you get 18 kits, but I mean how many different sounds are there if you want to create your own stuff.
I know I'm kind of late- but is there a cheaper way to buy a reasonable sound mat? Is there like a substitute for a sound mat- something that works the same way?
If Roland went down the same route as 2Box with the ability to play real samples I would be interested. Yes, they are good but they still sound very electronic.
Yes I agree , I have also a Td25K but the sounds especialy the Tom sounds very electronic. The Roland module triggers better with the hihat and cymbals. Maby I connect a 2box Drumit module to my Td25 and use that Module for the toms and the Roland for Snare, kick, hihat and cymbals that would be the best of both worlds.💪
I have a silly question but it's because i only see right handed set ups Im left handed can the 25KV accommodate for left handed individuals? It's just something I'd like to know so that when i buy it i can set it up for a lefty
+Alejandro Castano Yep mine is set up left handed, the rack comes already together so you have to mess with the heights of the support bars and move the snare support over.
Keith Mulhare I could be wrong but I don’t think an electric snare would react to a brush any different than it would if you just playing softly with sticks. There’s maybe a few brush sound in there. Who knows?
He says you can "assign different sounds" to the toms and their rims. I don't think you can "assign" anything to the tom rims. It'll sound just like hitting the rim on an acoustic tom. You can only assign "different sounds" (i.e. Cowbell, cymbals, bongos) to the rims using a VST.
no you can't add different sounds to the rimI don't understand why they tell people that you can add other songs to your rim you can't do that on the td25.omg
You took the words out of my mouth.... I'm looking at a few Electronic Drum Kits & I might go with the Roland TD-17KV which is over £2000 in the UK & that's without the high hat/throne or a good set of headphones & then an amp to play it through if I wish to play this kit without headphones... It's not the early 80's anymore & technology has surpased those old kits but the price hasn't lowered enough for my liking... I think the manufacturers of these kits know that many beginners or long time players will go with an Electronic Drum Kit these days as it's not like it was with one's neighbours 30 or more years ago, as your likely to get an ASBO if drummers were to play an acoustic set in their own home as certain laws have gotten out of hand... As I've said it's not the 80s & this is not new technology... Yes they have improved them with mesh heads & chockable cymbals & high hats but I know for a fact that the technology that's put together to build these machines cost penny's... A motherboard alone is next to no money & with prices constantly dropping with other modern tech because it ages over time & therefore the prices drop then it should apply to musical instruments, but it never really does... Most of your money is paying for their brand name & for a mid level kit I think paying over £2000 is just too much... By the time I add all the extras I won't see much change out of £2500... TourTech seem to have great reputation & they have a mesh head set at only £500, which has every thing this Roland kit has & after hearing the TourTech TT-22M I honestly think I might end up buying that Electronic Drum Kit & save myself £2000.00 Did you get round to buying an Electronic Drum Kit & if so what kit did you get & was it worth it!... .....
DIS IS A JOKE....PLZ ADVISE..Joke: Hi kraft music, you said i could costimize a kit, welll.....can i get 14 toms and 17 crashes and a 40 in. ride. Thanks. XD
I'm not convinced by this one. It sounds quite like the older one ! I think Roland should innovate way more, this is quite the same sound as 10 years ago modules : a lot of electronic and gadget sounds but you cant find the basic good rock snare to play standard pop/rock music (might be ok for Metal but not for blues and classic rock). I mean to me the basics are not there : I only use one kit on my TD6 and this TD25 doesn't seems to sound way better. The snare drums are the worst : it doesn't sound natural/organic, to me its not worth the money (the triggers and the feeling when you play are good but not the sound). The virtual drummer of Logic Pro X is way better than this (try it you can plug your roland thru a midi interface). It's in the techno used : they use real sounds in LPX recorded with real drums in studios and mikes. That's the future but I dont hear it in Roland products today series ! I actually own a TD6 and want to upgrade so I tried a lot of kits like the TD25, 30 or even 40 and 50 and every time I feel the same : "funny but not credible in the sound".

Great video. Better than the Roland videos too :)
I would like to know if you're able to put your own samples/sounds to the user kits?
Great review , i am using the td 15 which replaced by the the new td 25 ...
Mickey Ram keep your TD 15 and save for a TD 30 this module is a disappointing unit.
Mine will be here in a few weeks and I was hoping to learn more about how to connect computers and things. Seems pretty straight forward. Thanks for the video. I'm interested in which mount you're using to hold the iPad as well.
What is the iPad mount that you are using in this video? Thanks!
Can we combine the td 25 module with Kd 120 or kd 140,bass drum pads or Pd 128 and pd 108, tom pads, and pd 128 snare pad?
This video just made me buy this kit! Thank you sir!!!! I know this is an old video but does anyone know how many sounds there are on this edrum? I know you get 18 kits, but I mean how many different sounds are there if you want to create your own stuff.

i bought this and i've yet to really get the hi hat to be as responsive as this..
i dont know what im doing wrong.
wow I got stressed out worrying about the Ipad getting hit... LOL
Hello, will the TD-25 Brain work with the TD-12 kit?
Hi) I have a problem, my USB flash drive does not see the Roland Td-25 (I am trying to load a sound, but unfortunately it does not work. Please help
what is that tablet mount?
How do you assign different sounds to rim vs drum head?
Is there a way to program the rim of the snare to have a rim shot sound while keeping the snare drum sound on the head?
yep.. i figured it out.. works like a champ.
thanks for the help.

oh ok lol thanks i just wanted to Double check but thank you its a nice reassurance you know
can one use brushes with decent effect on the mesh head snare drum?
Keith Mulhare I could be wrong but I don’t think an electric snare would react to a brush any different than it would if you just playing softly with sticks. There’s maybe a few brush sound in there. Who knows?
what about the sound with other kinds of sticks?
douing59 it's the same

Why are his sticks like 10 feet long
HuskySized Nope, only 8 feet long!! Gives you more reach for those that have short arms!! 🙄
Td 25kv Is My Favorite V Drum But Price Are Huge So, I Cannot Buy It Iam Very Poor
no you can't add different sounds to the rimI don't understand why they tell people that you can add other songs to your rim you can't do that on the td25.omg
Anybody else annoyed by the beginning song?
mid level 3500 cash lol

Come on, how about some stage presence! it has the Fat Albert and his gang playing in the junkyard look.
