I thoroughly enjoyed your videos, Kali. I thought this was a wonderful lesson in intentional goal setting, focus, and enjoyment of your gift with a huge dose of community spirit. Your videos are made with so much love for your craft. Know that translates on screen, and you motivate others to move forward with inspired action. Thank you 🙏 Your sweater is b e a u t i f u l! 💛
I've started watching your vlogs very recently and I can't help but wonder whether these "finish in 1 week" challenges ultimately take all the fun out of the craft, the process, taking the time to do each step, the slowness of handmade garments... I don't understand how knitting just to finish in 1 week can really be fun, I would be extremely stressed and hurting by the end, but maybe it's just me lol... Still, I enjoy your videos.
That’s just a you thing. We all get different types of enjoyment from the craft and knitting for months on one project is not enjoyable for me. This is more than just a hobby for me and I’m knitting the way I do to prepare myself for the plans and goals I have for myself in the future with knitting. Slow crafting doesn’t apply to everyone and that’s okay. While these challenges wouldn’t be fun for you to do, it’s highly enjoyable for me. Knitting this quickly never hurts me or stresses me out because I always make sure I take breaks, stretch, and take care of my body in general.
Hi there, the algorithm directed me to you, and now I'm subbed to you and your sisters! What a ride. I just finished watching all the Korshavn sweater vlogs, and the only thing I could think was "pretty hurts," because this sweater is so pretty, but it seemed to cause so much trouble and pain during the process. I've never made a bottom-up sweater, and it seems like a lot of trouble. I hope someone's got a top-down version of this sweater, or I may try to find something similar with clearer instructions, because I really like how this came out, but the process seems....tough.
I also have the pattern and I am wondering how you do this with the sleeves? Like the pattern is repeated in every 8 stitches but if you decrease in the sleeves how can you still match the pattern? Has anyone done this sweater and can help me?:)
This entire sweater chronicle tickled me. You and your sisters are hilarious!
Hahaha thankss
Congratulations on finishing! Next time, take longer. We like to daily videos 😜
Thank you! Daily videos will still be happening since I have a few vids I’ll be posting in between posting the next project. 🥰
Love to see all the completed projects!
It looks fantastic ! I wasn’t sure you could do it in 7days, but you were super vigilant. I’m looking forward to seeing your next sweater. 😊
Thanks!
