dude this game was epic, the graphics are almost irrelevant, the game and colorful world and characters were just so beyond its time, I still play Ocarina of time, and have beaten it for many people, since most people seem to get stuck on the Deku Tree, its downright embarrassing lmao
@@retrox64games lol to be honest I spends almost around 4-5 months to fully complete OoT. Yeah I had a hard time on Deku Tree, but still Water Temple was something else before internet era. I played OoT on GC, because it was really hard to find N64 console on any local store. I even imported a copy of Gamecube Zelda Collector Edition so I could play OoT and Majoras Mask.
I'm playing through Ocarina of Time for the first time right now. I often like to look over these videos to see how others handle the same situations. Well, I guess I either have a strong moral compass or am just really used to stealth missions, because it NEVER would have crossed my mind to straight up kill the guards with a bow and arrow. The only time I ever attacked one of them (successfully) was using the Longshot on the lone guard pacing the hallway, and that just temporarily froze her in place. "I see you have great skill, killing all of my guards. You must want to become one of us now, huh?" I can't IMAGINE Link doing that in any situation. They just wouldn't do that.
This is an old game. These were put in to remind the player how many they had left. In the story it doesn't make sense, but it would be more confusing if they all said they had 3 other friends in there.
I tried to switch the Gerudo leader’s clothing by changing my own but it didn’t work. I’m playing the GameCube Promotional Disc version. This is devastating
Managed to get the heart piece from the horseback archery game, but the quiver upgrade may as well just be unobtainable for me. I blew through several full wallets trying this for hours and cannot get it. Your strategy seemed to be going for the jars first and then after all the jars tacking on as many extra points you need using the large targets, but man are those jars impossible to hit, i know its just a timing thing but i cant seem to get it 😢 great video though!

What attack is best against these guards who jump out when you talk to the carpenter prisoners? It seems like some random sword attacks either hit them or get blocked. There doesn’t seem to be a clear method or window to attack.
I've rescued the first 3 carpenters, but when I enter the last doorway to get to carpenter 4 (Shiro) the cell is open and theres no one there! But Im pretty sure I never rescued him, or else obviously I would've got the ending. What the hell?? Can anyone help? I'm playing on Switch so is this a glitch?
Love the game, but loath this section of, cmon its frickin Link, probably one of the most powerful nintendo characters. this is a kid that faces off against Ganon. He can slay all those guards in a matter of seconds. Except right here they capture you, so dumb.
I always have to see the Original after playing 3DS version because the 3ds just doesn't have that Soul, Animations are missing and SFX or are Messed up and everything about the 3ds is just not the same even though it's got the Core gameplay Right
The visual updates of the 3ds version are weird but man, having a second screen is nice. My biggest qualm with OOT is warping to the temple of light all the time and watching the same long-ass animation. I can't remember if they improved that on the 3ds.
You have to watch out for the guards they don’t welcome you since they’re female and your male that’s why you have to be a very good fighter to beat them in one go. I was fighting against the fighter ones but they did not play fair with their spin attack if you were hit you were busted they were right cheats and it’s really annoying that either my shield was not working or was not quite fast enough I did have some control problems at the time.
One thing I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING HATED on this level was when you spoke to the carpenters, and when the Gerudo Thief attacks, your view always seemed to be obscured by the cell bars, which made it so awkward to target them and avoid the jumping attack that resulted in your capture again! That was one of very few irritating things in the game, the camera and your subsequent difficulty in seeing some things.

i was taken aback when i realized i could stun them with the hookshot, so you can imagine my SURPRISE when i found out i could KNOCK EM OUT 😭
I went through all that, dodging, and now I realise that I could stun them, epic!
you could also shoot them with arrows to get rid of them permanently.

if you have trouble just use the deku nuts on them, it freezes them so you attack freely
