It was a Japanese lady who was sent by Emperor Hirohito on the request of Maharaja Nalmudi krishna raja Wodiyer . She taught this special weaving,married a kannadiga ,had four children, ,highly qualified and later she worked in Japanese embassy.After going back to Japan she was honoured by Emperor hirohito..This artice had come about 20 years ago in the Hindu .Today, no one remembers her . She died in Japan.Her children and grand children live in several countries and still know kannada!
