Your channel is wonderful and shows what is missing from piano instruction. You get right to the point and break the skill down to its most basic parts. Please keep making these.
Very useful, thanks. Im learning music backwards, Trumpet, Sax, clarinet, drums, guitar and at last piano. For the first time in years music theory makes sense. I love the piano and wish it was my first instrument. Most of the other instrument mix all the notes up and hide half of them lol.
It would inspire me so much more if you played a easy right hand part along with each of these left hand patterns so we could watch you play each one of these patterns . You have great hands and fingers. It’s always so much more inspiring to be able to see a player solo with each one of these awesome left hand patterns. You could make separate videos with each of these cool left hand parts with a few different right hand parts to improvise over. You are a great teacher. It would be so nice to see you play more. You have some really great videos. I played drums for Lyle Lovett for his first 16 years of touring. I am very impressed with your playing plus your teaching abilities. Piano is my second instrument. Thanks for your great videos. 💙💜💚🙏
I play guitar but I fractured my right arm so that isn't possible. I set up a keyboard and these patterns are keeping me sane. Thank you. I know that when I try to get the right hand involved it Wii not go well but these patterns should be solid.
Hi Marine, loved this video. I like the blues! Can you tell me if I'd want to use notes from a scale , on my right hand while playing those patterns, which one you recomend... do I have to change whenever I change from C to F to G? Thanks so much for your tutorials!! ❤
I REALLY like this tutorial, BUT... It's just a lesson for a SOLOIST Most bands have a bassist... What to play with my left hand without causing total rhythmic and harmonic havoc? Are "power chords" a la "Jon Lord" the only option? Some suggestions from the community?
It's a pleasure learning with who truly knows.

Useful patterns, Marine, thank you. Easy to understand. But tricky to execute. i guess repeated practice is the answer?
Of course! Pick one pattern that you like and practice it in all keys!

This was a really cool segment. I can remember my teacher (jeez, like 45 years ago) showing me something like this. He called it “boogie woogie”.
Started following you channel and it's been lovely. Please can you make a video on how to play country music style on the piano? 🙏
