1-27-18 I was there that day thinking I'd be there roughly 30-45 minutes. Little did I know I'd be there for 5 hours. I arrived around 11:30am and parking was absolutely horrible. I ended up parking on a side street in a no parking zone pretty close to the technology building where the job fair was being held at (luckily I didn't get a ticket). I'm in the video between the 3:30-40 mark. I had wondered what the girl with the phone/camera was doing as she walked past us. I think it was around 3pm when she walked past me and it wasn't until nearly 5pm that the last 35 of us (my group) got interviewed. There was probably 200 plus people behind us that most likely got turned away....even though they stood in line for quite some time as well. Overall people were really friendly to each other with some saving places in line while they took bathroom breaks...luckily I didn't to do that. Some people got pissed it was talking too long and just gave up and left. I had one person in front of me and behind me leave after 2 or 3 hours of standing in line. I know my legs were getting tired by about 4pm, but I managed to hold on to the very end. While its only been 10 days, I still haven't heard anything from LEAR yet. I really question how many applications/resumes they really will read and or just chit can the rest. I can say that this whole experience is one that I would never go through again. For many people, it was a complete waste of their time. And the University did (from my perspective) a pretty poor job of coordinating the whole job fair. They should have had it spread all over campus to help disperse the large amounts of people showing up. Instead they confined the event to one building which led to a congested mess.
Lol ,thats why they call it a white lie! Thats what they want you to think!!! Blacks dont want to work ?? Our ancestors, the slaves ,built this country!
