I seen Metallica my first time when I was 14 they opened up for Ozzy in Phoenix Arizona .. cliff Burton was still alive and it was an honor to have had the chance to seen him play then I seen them in Tucson Arizona and faith no more opened up for them and Jason newstead was playing with them. Another honor to have seen him play . Cliff Burton was one of the best bass players ever. His style was one of a kind.
Yeah, was there too for shot in dark/master of puppets tour. Got stranded in Phoenix after hitchhiking 300 miles just to watch them in concert! Greatest experience ever!
Live videos are back! Rob's bass sounds so great in this video, so loud and pungent and his backing vocals are great! Think the solo sounded a little flat but still a great song from a great album!
I am now 51 yrs old and have been a fan of Metallica since the mid 80s. This song is emblematic of what Metallica has become as opposed to who they were. The instrumentals are just as hard as always. But the lyrics are more subdued. I mean look at the crowd. I have never seen such a tame crowd at a Metallica show (I have been to 8 in my life). They look like they're expecting something. I don't know, more.

They are as good as ever at their ripe old age! They rock! My goodness.. their live sets sound studio quality almost. I remember seeing them in the Monsters of Rock in Los Angeles Arena in 1987 or so. As soon as they came on stage -- after Kingdom Come -- all the chain link fences came down and all the chairs in teh field went bye bye, via overhead disposal train.
Screaming Suicide is my absolute favorite on 72 Seasons. Suicide is very near and dear to me because I have felt the exact same way as this song is describing. I almost lost myself to it three years ago. I would’ve been fourteen, but I’m seventeen now and still rocking! Also that vulture guitar James is using is DOPE AS F*CK!!!! ❤️🤘🏻
Yeah, it’s also my favourite on 72 seasons for the same reason. Last couple of years were very rough for me, thanks to my chronic depression. I was in a mental hospital for about nine months (it didn’t help in the long term), and almost jumped in front of a train. I’ve bought myself a ticket for their concert in Munich, it feels weird to be excited about something again. I almost forgot how it feels. Stay strong, mate.
I spent the whole day thinking about how lucky I was to be listening to the brand new album by my favorite band. Who knows how many more times that will happen in life as we, and they, get older🤷♂️🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@revwillyg6450 If this can reassure you: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Scorpions, The Misfits, Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep, Aerosmith, AC/DC (Ok, only Angus Young is left for this one) are still touring and they are all 6 to 14 years older than Metallica! The Rolling Stones themselves made a brand new album last year, toured for it, and those guys goes back way up to 1962! Metallica isn't done yet!
