ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.

It's so cool to hear someone get as excited about video games as I do. I feel these days all I'm really exposed to is the negative side of video game culture through reddit and what not. Listening to you talk about your favorite moments reminded me of my own and it couldn't have made me happier. This video felt like staying up late on a Friday night ranting with my best friend of all the amazing stories from games we played. Times were simpler then so thank you for reminding me of the beauty in that Matt :)

So funny to hear someone having the same opinion. Child of light was a close second. And OW I love Ana! Im not bad at aiming though ive slept a couple of ulting nano genjis but it isnt easy thats for sure!
Talking gaming with people who is like minded is so fun and somewhat rare, especially with someone who has played a wide range of games such as yourself.

One of the things that I honestly both enjoy and that saddens me about your videos Articulate design, is that you really talk. Your greatest quality here that draws me in is that you speak with a genuine nature that draws me in. Don't get me wrong. Don't stop. It's just that listening to your videos really makes me aware of how much I wish people around me spoke with anything close to your sincerity. And the fact that you are not scripted shows that this is closer to you being native "Matt"... and I am just here sitting on the edge of my sleep, lol because, I don't want to sleep. You have stirred My mind and I actually want to talk. It doesn't help that we are a year apart in age so, yeah, you are speaking my language and evoking my nostalgia as you simply share. LOL "enchantment" lol you just spoke about Dragon age and Morgan. One of my favorite games.

No one's role plays feel more real than yours Matt. The little details like the way your demeanor changes from character to character or the spot at 6:40 where you take your headset off. It really makes it feel super connected to whatever character you're playing. Very well done. Love your work.

Well that's enormously kind of you to say, it's actually one of the very few asmr videos I almost never watch. I find gaming habits, at least for somebody who has spent SO long gaming, is so specific and unique to them that it's difficult to relate to in a video. Hopefully my game choice and rambling was okay for you :D
Omg it’s so nice to see a gaming role play that nerds out as much as I do. Most of them focus on the sounds and the tapping and stuff so the games themselves take a bit of a back seat. This is great. Definitely gonna come back to this video to fall asleep.
It's funny. A normal trip to GameStop usually takes this long since there's usually only 1 employee and 12 people waiting in line. Then they need to upsell you on scratch guarentees, pre-orders, and their Power Up program lol
You explained exactly how I feel about the Civ series. Civ II was the first game I ever got addicted to when I was just 8 years old. Now years later and I play Civ V or VI and while they're great, I just can't recapture that same feeling. Damn nostalgia.

Ahhhh exactly!! I mean I'm sure if I played civ 5 first, I'd think it's incredible compared to two. But we probably fattened ourselves on civ 2 and how much can the game really change I guess. :D

I was a senior in HS when Skyrim came out and I remember being so stoked because I had sunk so many hours into Oblivion. Warcraft 3, Oblivion, Civ 3/IV, and Age of Mythology were my childhood... PC wise anyways.

I'm a massive elder scrolls fan but honestly oblivion was a chore for me. Its definitely my least favorite of the major games in the series.
You know, if you can get it all set up, if you’re considering expanding your different types of ASMR, have you considered doing ASMR gaming videos, with softly spoken commentary, if you find any games worth playing that might bode well to ASMR?

Well i've thought about this before and maybe my moving into live streaming is potentially a step in the direction of this :D ASMR and gaming just feels nice, in an already niche market! However if people like it, i'm likely to do it :D

I've seen probably two dozen "game shop" ASMR videos since I got into ASMR a few years ago and this is hands down my favorite.
I dig how passionate and genuine you were when discussing every game. It wasn't your typical "I'm just going to gloss over everything while making ASMR sounds." I much prefer this style.
Also if you ever decide to give Kingdom Hearts a shot remember this- Roxas is best boy. Lol

This was so enjoyable! It felt like I was just chatting and trading stories with a fellow gaming enthusiast! I'm also 33 and have been gaming from a young age. It was Sega Megadrive and Nintendo as a kid, then all the Playstations. I'm so happy that older classic games such as Spyro and Crash Bandicoot have been re-done now. They were a huge part of my childhood! The old Baldurs Gate pc game was amazing. I'd love to see that re-done too.
