Curtis was my highschool baseball coach, he’s such a good dude! Cool watching this bull come to life. Wish you guys made your performance hat for people with big big heads 🥲
2:20 totally agree, you guys are great for the younger generation and i've thought that since the beginning with you guys. Great representaion to younger hunters great job and huge fan
What an absolute Gentleman, Curtis is and it’s great to see that he has his son working with him too. Thank you for showing us the process and all of the skill and dedication that goes into doing this incredible work. It truly is an art form. Right down to the finest of details. Thanks Guys!!!
This was so interesting. Curtis truly is a master of his craft, clearly. I've never thought much about how this is done, but now that I've watched this, it's amazing how much knowledge a person has to have not only in the craft but the animals and their habits/movements, etc. These could all be stupid questions, but oh well... 1) As far as the mounts and ears, etc. go, do you make them yourself or do you buy them pre-formed. As in the ears, for example... did you make them from scratch or is there a taxidermy supplier that makes the ears and forms, etc. that you work from? 2) Is that standard modelling clay that you are using to attach the ears and eyes? 3) How did you learn all the "little" facts that you know such as the pupil placement, eyebrows, etc.? I can't imagine how many different animals you have had to study! 4) In Eric's case you had a photo to show you how it stood/looked at the moment he shot it. I imagine a picture is helpful, but if they don't have one what types of questions do you ask as far as knowing how to place the ears, etc.? That's cool that your son is getting involved in the business.
HUSH this year you guys should show us how to cut a perfect Cape in the field, while doing field dressing. Could make an amazing series. I have never done it perfectly. So I always end up doing European Mounts at home.
If you aren't in the area where Curtis' shop is, I bet you could call and ask him if he knows someone in your neck of the woods. Something tells me the good ones know each other!
Never knew that about them tick bedded under the elk’s neck during the winter and as with the word taxidermist learn something new everyday thanks Eric for sharing this video awesome man
Met EC and the guys twice in SLC and they somehow showed interest in my father and my stories of hunting and how much we enjoy the content that they bring!!!!
New performance hats drop tomorrow 9/5. It’s Matt’s fault 😂
Bought a black one a couple hours ago hope I win the giveaway!!!👍🏻🦌🏹🇺🇸
Eric always has the best content on here
These guys are artists. The nuance required in making a good mount is crazy. The attention to detail is cool. Thanks for showing this.

Eric!!! I think it would be great if you took Curtis' sons out on a hunt! The boys would LOVE that!
