The Irises and Poppy are my favorite. My cousin, Moina Michael, is the one who worked getting the Poppy recognized as the symbol for Veterans, especially those who served in WWI, but then for future wars.
"The famous red poppy honours war veterans who gave their lives fighting during the First World War as well as other related conflicts. This traditional poppy symbolizes remembrance and hope.
Meanwhile, the white poppy, originating in 1933 in Britain, recognizes civilians who died during the war and symbolizes a desire for peace instead of war.
There have been debates as to whether the white poppy truly represented Remembrance Day or undermines the sacrifice of veterans. Some people wear both.
And just when you thought that was it, there are two more colour variations of the poppy - black and purple.
According to Animal Alliance Canada, a Toronto-based non-profit organization, the purple poppy is a complimentary poppy to the red poppy and not meant to “undermine or reject” the red poppy.
This poppy recognizes the significant loss of animal life, such as horses, dogs and pigeons, that were often drafted into and victims of the war.
Lastly, the black poppy commemorates the war effort contributed by the black, African, Carribean and Pacific Islands communities. This poppy was introduced recently in 2010, and it signifies pride, honour and glory, according to Black Poppy Rose, a British organization."

Beautiful! Where can I buy the tools that you were using the tweezers and the white board? Just so beautiful and wanted to make them. And also what kind of ink you were using for the leafs. I know you were color with copics markers. But I do see the other green looks like eye shadow powder to go over the leaves line. Do you used Cardstock for the flowers.

@@desireeclary7890 I got my Pan Pastels open stock at Art Supply Warehouse in Westminster, CA during their 25% off everything sale in March and October...ASW has online store as well.
Pan Pastel Need to handled very carefully or they will "shatter turn into powder" if dropped or banged. Ask me how I know...One of the kids knocked my Pan Pastel off the table during an event... wasn't able to salvage Pan Pastel...kept it as I reminder how "fragile" they are 😢
I "set" Pan Pastel designs with fine mister filled with water or light coat of Design Master clear coat.
The kit will be launching in the new year, and it will have everything to create Susan’s flowers just as Susan does. It will include a base tool plus tips, tweezers, plus various mats. We are calling it Susan’s Garden “Ultimate” Tool kit as it will have everything. Stay tuned!

She is using copies I don’t know the colours exactly but I’m the Facebook group she does tell you the colours

Copics sorry. You can use any markers I personally like tombows because of the colours and tips
