One of gaming’s all time great final stage themes. It conveys the seriousness and how everything has built up to this one final confrontation. From the murders of the Oboro clan members to the horrifying biological abominations they created to the fear they have caused, Neo Zeed cannot be allowed to exist. For the good of the world and no matter the cost, Neo Zeed must go.
I swear, this game and its music are nearly PERFECT for the Genesis. Literally everything that this OST in particular has to offer is pretty much flawless. This really tells you that your true final battle is coming and that there's no turning back as it pits you in the hardest challenges this game has to offer. It's beautiful... it's absolutely beautiful...
I found stage 6 harder than stage 7, because of the crushing death spikes in the pagoda building. Also, first time players will get lost in 6-2 pagoda in a similar way to the labyrinth in Revenge of Shinobi. At least in stage 7, its a one way route and most enemies are stationary, but take a lot of shurikens to blow up, plus in 7-2 there are a lot of traps, but no enemies oddly enough. I wish there were mods to this game, but I only found one, which is the "enhanced patch" with 6 button controller setup instead of 3 buttons.
I think it has a tinge of sadness, because the game is near the end, and Joe Musashi's story ends at Shinobi 3. I mean, it did say at the end "To be continued!", despite in Shinobi X, you are playing as "Sho" instead of "Joe Musashi".
I think it's because he's about to vanquish Zeed for good this time, and his purpose will be fulfilled. It's a bittersweet feeling. I'm sure he's sustained a few injuries on the way as well, so he's really feeling the difficulty.
There is a sense of sadness and desperation. Joe’s clan were attacked and murdered, countless innocents were either slaughtered or experimented on. All the hands of Neo Zeed. The song conveys that this is the grand finale and that Joe is not just doing this for revenge but to protect the world that NZ has terrorized.
This game is just not treated with the true respect it needs. It's better than RoS in every way, looks too powerful for it to even run on a genesis and it's one of the best games of all time. It deserves so much more
One thing I was missing from the first ROS were the pedestrian scenes like the city, the subway, Chinatown and the like. It added a civilian connection to the game. Otherwise, it feels like Joe's on another planet!
Yea i think it's superior to ROS in nearly every aspect, and that's saying a lot because that game is excellent. But yea Shinobi 3 is an underrated masterpiece. It doesn't get nearly the praise it should for some weird reason.
I like Shinobi 3 more than ROS. You can sprint and climb walls/ceilings like a proper ninja. The thing with ROS is you couldn't sprint, meaning Joe was literally walking the whole game to save Naoko! Pretty sure in reality a real man would SPRINT his way to save someone!

+SpiralPegasus O 3 é bom por causa da jogabilidade e a música/trilha também! Tem um Shinobi de Saturn que é ótimo, o Shinobi Legions (Shinobi X ou Super Shinobi Den, dependendo da região), lembra o 3, tem gráficos digitalizados e alguns golpes de comando na jogabilidade!

It was great to see him return in PS2 game. I think Hotsuma's up there too, with that scarf and having to stave off his weapon's bloodlust.

I never played ROS I only played Shadow Dancer and Shinobi 3 and they are great. I don't care about ROS.
