IRELAND PLAYER RATINGS | IRELAND vs ENGLAND

- How did you rate the performance of the Irish 23 - and saying 23 not 15 is VERY appropriate in this case! What changes (if any) you would like to see for Scotland next weekend? The big games keep on coming
It’s great the way you talk about every team and player like its the team you support Tim. Ireland. Italy. France, SA. . It could be any team. It’s just so clear you absolutely love the game.
Tim, your comment regarding Cian Healy is very pragmatic. You are 100% spot on. What happens if Andrew Porter gets injured early in a game. If Cian is only required for the last 10 minutes, surely it is more prudent to introduce a younger player with the future in mind, or is this a major problem position for Ireland.
Think thry are getting Jack Boyle rugby same way they gave McCarthy a year or two in camp to get up to speed
I think we all know this is Healy's last campaign.
My thoughts also, we have been blessed that porter has being excellent and injury free.
Looking better at tighthead
Love your channel Tim Agree with the comments on Healy Great servant but totally past it now The guy has max 10 minutes in the tank and was responsible for the second try Huge risk if Porter gets injured early on Throw Boyle in like Clarkson …
Jack Boyle is in the squad and is starting to rack up a few games for Leinster now. This is Healy’s last 6n and Boyle could come in if needed. He is a quality player. Paddy McCarthy is then right behind Jack Boyle and Alex Usanov in the U20s right now looks like another very good loose head. There are a couple of prospects on the tight head side as well coming along.
Fair play for keeping your disappointment to yourself and remaining objective and unbiased
I enjoyed the game. I massively respect Ireland...some of their players are rockstars on a rugby field.
Agree. You're a class act. Magnanimous, I believe, is the word.
We're so luck to have our kiwi heroes 🇮🇪
What ? You never saw the postmortem video then?
Absolutely love your videos, probably the most balanced rugby channel on TH-cam
Your so right about beirne. Every game i think this man needs a rest, and then he pulls out half a dozen game changing moments and then i tell myself to shut up and just enjoy it.
Clan Healy is a legend but time to move him on to the DJ spot! As sad as that may be it’s time for new blood as he missed a critical tackle from half a yard that ultimately led to a try for England near the end. He has earned his place in Irish rugby history many times over.
That was a good battle. Having Dan and Jack back from the autumn was a big lift. Need Joe and Tadhg back in the pack and that will definitely help.
I think the pack balance was good with Baird to help the lineout and Beirne at 5. I actually don’t mind a one two punch of Conan and Joe in the last 30. Could be massive impact
You awarded Itoje a 9+ for his first half performance, that would make Sheehan's 30 min effort a 12
Itoje should have been docked points for crying into the refs face for the whole bloody match...idiot.
@@NickyDunne-l7z I'd give him a 7 for the first half and a 4 for the second
Itoje is nothing short of a gurrier - constant sledging on Prendergast & whinger to ref. Lost my respect today S
Itoje saying “we were on the wrong side of the ref” is a losers mentality
@@NickyDunne-l7zi agree. Obviously not captain material!
Lowe was my motm
He was excellent and definitely Ireland's MOTM. But, in my opinion, as an Irish supporter of 66 years ( Da: Kernowek. Mamm; Iwerdhon), Tom Curry was MOM. It was great to beat the English, it always is, but I see the bigger picture after all my years. Tom Curry was consistantly outstanding through-out the WHOLE game 🏴☠ ☘
@@KernowekTimnice hear a knowledgeable rugby man commenting
Same. Anyone with eyes.
Mine too. JGP was great but can't help but feel he was a bit off at the start. Seemed to be out of rhythm. Got a lot better but feel he was a decent part of the early attacking issues.
Great going forward poor in defence, three wayward kicks
I think this is a very fair analysis - thought Crowley and Conan were magnificent- totally agree with changing Cian for someone else for the future.
I think the Irish Scrum half's mum was in charge of picking the MOTM award. I love having characters like James Lowe on the pitch .. I reckon he was MOTM. Also the strength of the Irish bench was (from an Ireland fan point of view) very reassuring.
Lowe a 9 for me. He was immense
Sheehan is still the best hooker in the world. McCarthy in if he is fit. What happens to Baird who was calling the line outs is a big question. Keep the videos coming Tim
Was a head knock in training. Believe he is fully expected to be back.
Joe is the line out problem.
@gianniwedici he doesn't jump at lineout much which really doesn't help though he has done a few surprise jumps recently.
Including one with a very inpressive Porter one man lift.
It's hard for McCarthy to get up there. He is easily 8kg+ heavier than our other locks and at that level its a very heavy 8 kg difference.
Lowe was the game changer
How are you not on ITV or BBC coverage? Just need to get yerself a bobble hat like Eddie Jones and you'd be a shoe-in. I'm also seriously considering getting a life sized James Lowe portrait, head on, tongue out before that pass to Tadhg Beirne. Gotta love it.
Dan Sheehan might be the perfect rugby player class just pours out of him.
9:35 Thank you!! I was saying this all week but the discussion here in Ireland has been so tribal and seeing a benching as some massive dishonour. Look at how the boks do this. Crowley was brilliant as the finisher and game manager
His logic is that players coming off the bench are more important. Surely Ireland should have Porter coming off the bench instead of starting?
@JocksRu Very different scenario. Especially when Porter practically plays the whole game anyway
Agree Tim, love your analysis and coverage. [Irish]
Our scrum was very impressive in a facet where we're nearly always 2nd best against England. Gotta give our TH prop more than a 6 there I feel.
ya furlong cant scrum against genge for some reason
@@tvpc3194because he was not on the pitch 😢
They should make sure that both out halves get a fair share.
Some former pros have expressed opinions you need one main full time out half but I reckon those two are good enough to spur each other on and bring the best out of each other and if one was to get injured there wouldn't be a drop of in performance with the replacement
Tim Cocker a solid 9 for today's analysis 👍. You'd have to do it in irish to get a 10😉
Dont tempt his. His Irish accent is not good.😂
hahaha. Thanks for watching
@@cheesecake6696Hah, think he means as Gaeilge. 😅🤣
Yet more insightful and brilliant analysis; keep it coming Tim,
Tim, I 100% agree with your comments on the number 10 shirt
Largely agree with your selection for next week, although switch Henderson for Joe McCarthy if he is back. Would also like to see Jamie Osborne get some game time- could rest Bundi maybe and have Osborne as the impact 12 off the bench.
Agree on McCarthy if he's back.
@@EggchasersRugby
I'd be making a fair few changes for Scotland
McCarthy straight in for Ryan
(With Ryan to bench)
Boyle in for Healy
Nash in for Hansen
Izuchukwu for Baird
Henshaw in for Aki, Osborne to the bench (Aki won't be dropped however even though he's slowing down big time)
Doris 7!? 😳 MOTM for me. The everywhere man. Great to see Sheehan back. Ireland bench made some difference today
Max Deegan is having a great season at Leinster, useful at six or eight, great in the lineout too. Don't forget that he was Jamie Heaslip's successor and did very well before injuries allowed Conan and Doris a look in. Three class # eights in Leinster, who's complaining 😁
Man of the match sholud have been Sheenan.
Ref decisions are the ref's decisions lads.
England were briallient until they ran out of steam and secondly kept Marcus in play?
Ireland should look at why its ok to pass to a players head or knee and occasionly at an inappropriate speed.
Tim you are by far the best out there. Thank you so much.....
Not for the time he was on. That would be unfair on anyone that played the full game.
Prendergast / Crowley should be utilised in the same way O'Gara / Humphreys were. Each bringing their own touch of class, learning from eachother and pushing eachother
Brilliant Analysis Tim,just discovered you,greetings from Australia.👍☘️🇮🇪
Great analysis as ever Tim. Your objectiveness, understanding of rugby and utter un-bias is great. You are a loyal Englishman, however, similar to former ABs 9 Justin Marshall, you say it how it is: every time, without malice, undue criticism or "the poison of brand-bias". I admire that in a person. Nothin worse than supporters who whine in defeat, gloat in victory or are hateful. 'Twas a good win, thank God🙏🥃 🏴☠ ☘
Great Vid Tim. I like how you are quite tight with your scores. We are biased in modern society to overestimate, for example giving kids medals for shite performances 😊 thanks for recalibration:-) agree with your assessments on the fly halves, very astute point from you. From a Munster man.
I am a great admirer of Keenan. However that is the most “untidy” I have seen him. Both Scotland and Ireland have things to work on for next week. For the time he was on the park Crowley controlled things better than Prendergast. Good competition for that 10 spot. My outstanding player was Sheehan after being out for so long. A rugby superstar.
Keenan was definitely a step off his best, normally would've covered that kick through better
Prends 1st 6 nations in fairness @21.
@ True he has much potential. As I say to my better half you don’t get experience without playing so hope to see him at 10 again soon.
Keep up the good work 💪, looking forward to this 6 nations. We looked good but a lot of improvement left too. I'm liking the saffa approach of having a few solid people off the bench. It might be a thing in the future that your best men come off the bench.
Watching it live Lowe was the best player ok the field for us. If furlong isn't fully fit I wouldn't risk him next week. Id give Crowley the start next week and if Sheehan is able I'd start him. Lastly I'd put Conan in at 6 for next week too.
Nah! O’Keefe was your best player
@@Northy1980he played well for you guys too
@@emmettoal8410 he did, pinging Genge for bealham’s continuous cheating. Ignoring a head shot on curry….all very much in favour of England.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t think either team was great and England certainly didn’t deserve to win….but the ref was absolute guff
@@Northy1980whinge much?
@@aidanmasterson50 just pointing out the obvious! I’d say whinging would be claiming England would have won but for the guff umpire! But I don’t think they were anywhere close to good enough.
Huffing and puffing isn’t worthy of a win
Absolutely agree on the Cian Healy call - Boyle in
Jack boyle for cian healy, also joe mccarthy for ryan and ryan onto bench instead of hendo
lineout worked because big joe wasnt playing
@@tvpc3194a strong point 🤔
And England contested practically none of them. But yeah it was massively improved either way.
As always brilliant thoughts Tim. Love the channel. Yourself and Alfie are battling for the top pod!!! Keep up the great work and thank you..
Agree think Cian has been amazing for us in Ireland but time to move on from him and thank him for his amazing service to IRL and LR. Legend is an understatement. Personally think and always have that Henderson is way over rated and shouldn’t be near this team. We played well but lucky game finished when it did as another 10 minutes could have brought a different outcome. We may rue letting them score those 2 last tries. Going to be tough ask in Murray field next week but think we will turn it on and keep the threepeat on track! Great work buddy.
Excellent ! Well done!
Only changes will be Hendshaw starting with Aki off the bench, Joe McCarthy on to the bench. Would love to see Jack Boyle start for 20-30 minutes like Leinster used him in Europe with Porter finishing the game but Clarkson could start which would prevent him from starting. I think the power off the bench is too good to medal with. Baird had a great shift in a tight physical game, lineout and his carries in the wide channels are so dangerous. Lowe was man of the match for me, he broke the game open on numerous occasions, super in defence and was out on his own regarding back three class.
Why aki played extremely well and has never let Ireland down here we go again bang on about aki henshaw wasn't seen much after he arrived on
Calvin Nash has to be a consideration for the 14 jersey
I looked at the English pack during the week and really thought they would cause Ireland serious problems, and they did, but, it only lasted for 40 minutes. Ireland fixed that, and that’s the result. England were heroic in the opening stanza, but were outclassed in the second.
I say again, it's a 23-man game, maybe Sheehan makes most impact as a replacement, a la Malcolm Marx. To your point, who do you want on the field at the end to win the game. Something England need to consider!! It's all about winning, no prizes for a great 60 minute performance. As always, a great overview Tim, many thanks!!
Ireland will benefit so much more when Jack Boyle finally gets ahead of Healy in the depth chart at LH. Prendergast should be starting like Libbok does for South Africa and have Crowley come off the bench like Pollard does for the Springboks. I would also have Sheehan and Furlong off the bench as well as James Ryan, Conan, Craig Casey and Henshaw.
Starting 15: Porter, Kelleher, Bealham, McCarthy, Beirne, Baird, Van Der Flier, Doris, Gibson-Park, Prendergast, Lowe, Aki, Ringrose, Hansen, Keenan. Subs: Sheehan, Boyle, Furlong, Ryan, Conan, Casey, Crowley, Henshaw. Hitting teams with that level of experience and impact off the bench can make the difference in matches.
Don’t want to sound ignorant, but Martin seems to be living off credit from the WC semi. Chessum is superior. I don’t understand why you’d pick a lock at 6, when Ted Hill is quicker and an excellent line out option. Chuck Martin on the bench to melt folk off the bench.
Murley was utterly dreadful and did nothing that any prem winger couldn’t do when scoring but defensively was woeful at best. In Slade and Steward England must have two of the slowest backs in the championship
Didn't get to see it live - just finished watching the replay. 1st impression - England players were incredibly fast for that first 35 minutes. They constantly disrupted Ireland phase play, forcing several handling errors. It was a defensive display that shows the potential there. What is most conspicuous by its absence is an attacking strategy. There appears to be little thought given to the need to train the players to develop these skills. Ollie Lawrence has really impressed me this season at Club and International level - putting in his claim as the best IC in the NH. Markus Smith has a lot of ability, etc.. etc., - no question that there's talent there. Question is why the England attack has become so inconsistent?
Paused at the start so don't know "yet" what changes he wants to be made but I'd change..
Sheehan for kelleher
Conan for Baird
Crowley for Slendercast
Have Nash as the 23rd man
Or Osborne?
And Cian Healy amazing servant of the game but way to slow at this level now
Having 3 out & out centres covering centre, wing & FB is mental and will be found out
Just think Sam needs to ensure Ireland are playing more in the right areas of the park, otherwise his performance was very good
Agree with your good analysis. Murrayfield is going to be a hell of a tussle. As an Ireland supporter I'm worried as Scotland have a powerful team with brilliant individual players like Huw Jones, Jonny Gray and Finn Russell. . .
Caught myself observing Ringrose in a typical tackle, in TV longshot, before realizing it was a much bigger person, Sheehan.
I ❤ Jimmy Lowe
Have to give credit where credit is due. England came to shut us down and they did just that in the first half definitely. Unfortunately I think the experience and the fitness of Ireland pulled this one through but definitely not taking anything away from the English. They played incredible today even as an Irish fan it pains me to me say but I think they will get better from this and go and win the rest of their games. Possibly even France!
Would love to see your player ratings for the Scotland Italy game
Yes please!
Lowe was the high for me!
It's interesting different perceptions. I thought Gibson-Park alongside Prendergrast very poor to start with and a big reason Ireland were under the pump early on. Poor defence from all 3 loosies at different points giving england easy gain line.
I dont think ref was biased to Ireland. It wasnt his best game but both teams can have grievances depending on what your looking at. Scrum maybe England can feel at times hard done by but England consistent penalties inside the 10 could have had more and should have more yellow cards.
Maybe it's pay back time! We had to put up with Wayne Barnes for years! Love from NZ!
Maybe start Jack Crowley and don’t put yourself in the position of needing to chase a game in the final 10 mins?
Scotland made hard work of Italy. Nothing much to worry about I reckon!!
We should send our U16 girls. They should easily take the Jocks.
Ringrose great again. Never seen him play poorly 💚
Irealdn have so many rock solid players - JvDF, Doris, Ringrose, Porter, Beirne.
I’d start Sheehan, I’d bring McCarthy on to the bench for Hendo if fit. I’d start henshaw instead of Aki and put Aki on the bench. Healy can play a long game if he has to and also covers hooker in the event of injuries. Porter is just a freak but Healy is actually playing very well for Leinster so far this season. Boyle will get the wales game from the bench imo. I’d seriously be considering Nash for Hansen also.
I’d give Crowley the starting opportunity against wales but I’d give Sam the Scotland game so that we have consistency for the first two games.
I think our attack and play will be a lot better next Sunday for having had that first game under our belt. Confidence building after yesterday. Gotta love the 6Ns!
Gotta add we’ve been lucky with injuries and players likely to come back in over the next few games. If we get Furlong right for France that will be massive. You need a decent slice of injury luck to win the 6Ns imo.
James Lowe was immense!
I would have given Prendergast a 5. He missed a sitter of a conversion after our first try, and another more tricky one. His kicking from hand in the first half was poor. The PrenderGOAT may be the GOAT in his own family and his living room, but I'm yet to be convinced. Crowley nailed all his kicks for points, including from the touchline. Also Hanson was not a 7. He often comes off his wing but then doesn't seem to know what to do next. 6 at best.
Crowley to start next week.
Prendergast's passing was the only reason ireland got around that blitz defence in the 1st half + held his nerve when kicking that game defining penalty. Giving him a 5 is quite harsh, always easier for a fresh 10 to look better up against a tired defence.
I was worried that if Crowley played well from the bench, people would say that just means he should be a bench player. The narrative will spin whatever way it must to keep the jersey on Prendergast. I think he's playing well, but Crowley is still the better option and if they played for the opposite clubs then there's no way Prendergast would currently be the starting 10.
@@user-is9of Agree totally on this. Prendergast looks like he spots space very very early (like Sexton) and has lovely passing variation and shape. Definitely thought, considering experience gap, he did at least as well as Marcus today, who was given a 7.5
@stevenhanley5505 100%. I'm neither Leinster nor Munster so I have no axe to grind in this one. I have virtually no axe to grind in any Irish selection debate as Ulster seems to have become an overseas territory. Anyway, Crowley is by far the most experienced and accomplished fly half we have and the continuation of this fixation with an undoubtedly talented but unproven Leinster youngster will, unfortunately, come back to bite us on the bum at some point, hopefully not against Scotland or France. But the Irish head coaching team live inside the Dublin media bubble, and it's hard for their heads not to be turned. I'd love someone to tell me why Cormac Isuchuckwu wasn't in the 23. He's been tearing it up for Ulster, but that seems to count for nothing down in Dublin.
Prendergast was poor. Too skinny needs to beef up a bit to be top notch.
Agree about Prendergast
did not realise the Irish bench had more Caps between them than the complete Eng team!!
Would be great if you could ease off on the 'Ireland get the 50/50 calls due to communication/captaincy/playing the ref/blahblah'. Maybe some of them were not as 50/50 as you think, maybe some are 60/40 and the ref makes a call? It's not a black ad white game and presuming every call Ireland win is due to something other than actual rugby skills is getting very tiring
I think that's exactly what I did say - that it's never black and white and the ref is just making a call. Also i stressed that it can "FEEL" decisions going against you. I think the point on how England manage it on the field and if that plays into a referees mind is a valid one. Thanks for watching
The ref “missed” the trip on Lowe the shoulder charge on Conan the stamp on Hansen, just to name a few
@ConorOLeary-rl4bs let's not forget Marcus Smith high tackle and Maro Itojes illegal dangerous clearout on Beirne
You have to hand it to Cian Healy. Props have the most difficult job on the pitch and he holds the record for most caps for the Heineken Cup Championship, Leinster and Ireland. Outstanding.
Agree about starting Prendergast. 🏴targeted him with a few late tackles but he held his own. I think he worries defences with his ability to spot space. Has to work on his spot kicking (unnerved by shorter time). Jack was great but 🏴 were tiring in 2nd half. 🇮🇪 should continue to use both & confuse opposition.
Make 1 change for Scotland. It’s not number 9, it’s not number 11 !
The Twindaloos were absolutely out on their feet by 70 mins
England had 6 forwards on the bench...I think they were meant to be out on their feet by then.
@EggchasersRugby Tom Curry still managed to score at 75 mins, so credit it to him for that, but just checked that Bendaloo was replaced by CCS at 59 mins.
I felt that the big difference in the game was the substitutions that went in favour of Ireland. Sheehan was exceptional and I think he may well find himself in Malcolm Marx position as a 50 minute bomb squad impact player that changes the dynamic of the game. Kelleher is the Mbonambi and is a solid player but Ireland certainly made the best of the positional changes.
Agree on Ireland 10, great choice to have. I think Crowley is great for finishing games and Prendergast will only improve after today
Gotta start Crowley he's the better player currently, although Sam may be in a few years
Baird was anonymous
He was with regards to his running game but he did help massively regarding the lineouts
I thought Lowe was the man. At the heart of 3 trys if I recall right
I agree with your comments on Cian Healy.
No disrespect to Healy....was a powerhouse..but.
Lowe was MOTM
Twindaloo…the two Curry’s..Love it!😂
I agree that on the surface Crowley looked better than Prendergast. However, when they switched England also took off B Curry and B Earls. A completely different defensive structure than when C Cunningham-South and T Willis entered the game.
It pains me to say it, but Ireland were the better team overall. England lacked attacking ruthlessness.
Marcus Smith proved again he needs to be given full licence to do what he likes. England's bench didn't do its job for me, whereas Ireland's bench came on and turned the game. Shehan was immense.
The referee was a bit picky for me. He gave us a warning after just three penalties, then pinged Smith when England conceded their 5th penalty and yellow carded him. Ireland received no warnings as far as I can tell. Otherwise I was OK with the ref.
If France play like they did last night against England, then I fancy England. Ireland I can see losing to France as France will step it up. Scotland will only lose to France and Ireland.
Going to be a great 6N ❤
Positive.
Clarkson was a 7 against Genge. Glad we had England first. Only going to get better every week.
Joe McCarthy is likely to be back for Scotland Tim, so may need to make an adjustment to the starting line up or the bench. Baird or Henderson may drop out.
As a munsterman i am biased but i wiuld start Crowley over Prendergast for the French game, but that experience Prendergast gotvwill be invaluable in the future, he got a bit spooked at times but settled in by the end..
It's a wonder we won at all given your ratings Tim.
Munster fan here, I'd rather have Prendergast starting next week. Crowley was really good off the bench, and I'd rather have him as the clean up crew, a role he's good at
Yes, Prendergast had a slow start, but let us be mindful that England were all over Ireland in the first half.By 65 minutes Ireland and Prendergast had broken them and established dominance and momentum. Crowley coming on later in the games showed up well.
I agree with Tim's assessment; the game is a 23 squad/player game as Erasmus/South Africa have demonstrated; having potential impact players like Conan, Crowley pays dividends.
We’ll have to listen to another week of the 10 debate for Ireland, even though Easterby literally said in his presser he’s happy with the Prendergast starting and Crowley off the bench situation. Prendergast had a few moments where he put others into space that Crowley doesn’t offer. All I saw from Crowley was him bothering a try by going himself and getting turned over.
You’re apparently the only person who saw that. Crowley didn’t butcher the try. Blue glasses on as always England shot up on his outside. What you missed maybe was Crowley kicking better, defending better and our attack got moving better with him at 10
@ Come back here on Friday when the team is named and Prendergast is still at 10
@@eoinh3816 I’ve no doubt he will be named 10. I will come back when he has another poor game because he is being parachuted in before he’s ready. French and English media gave SP a 4/5 out of 10. Amazing what happens when you’re not biased.
I don't think we got the 50/50s at all! Apart from that supposed push in the line out by Itoje, there was a clear trip not picked up by the ref from Steward on Lowe, a dangerous clearout on Tadhg Beirne by Genge that wasn't checked either! England were cynical and offside the whole game! Diving over the rucks and deserved another yellow at least! Oh and check out that disgraceful little stamp by Itoje on Mack Hansen! What a great captain hey??😂😂 really leading by example! I don't think he was that impressive in that game and people go off his previous form and arrogance a lot!! England bested us in the back row but we were better in the tight 5! Bealham held his own and Genge lost his bind and hinged several times! Stuart went off and on again about 50 times😂😂 the partnership of Tadhg Beirne and James Ryan was way better and had more impact than Martin and Itoje! I forgot Martin was playing! He was a passenger the whole game! Not JVDFs best game and England definitely better in the backrow! Baird wasn't great but Conan, Sheehan and Crowley were insanely good off the bench!
Your previous comments about Duponts 2 metre forward pass being ok are rediculous.. Arguments about player momentum are bogus.
So your saying if it were possible to throw a 50 metre pass from wing to wing. It's ok to pass 10 meters forward in order for the winger to catch it on the other wing. That just does not cut it for me.
A forward pass is anything that is beyond a series of parallel lines to the half way line . At the point of delivery.
Physics isn't your strong suit.
There’s momentum forward and there’s hands that throw in a forward motion. DuPonts was the latter. As usual when live the French tv editors don’t show replays to hide it but it was defo a forward pass.
Massive game in murrayfield? We've won the last 10 games against Scotland including 3 in murrayfield. You have to go back to 2017 for a Scotland win. They've lost their best player, injured, it should be a 15 point win for Ireland.
Stop saying Ireland got the rub of the green, England were nearly always offside, hinging in the scrum, closing the gap, and Itoje was constantly pestering the ref, You reap what you sow
James Lowe Gibson park
10/10
You do the eng ire player ratings before the fra wales or sco italy ones?
It was the game of the weekend. The other games did get their fair bit of attention too from Tim. Didn’t know there were rules like this for putting out TH-cam videos either but glad you’re here to police it all.
@paolozmm says the arsehole policing the comments.
I’ve been saying it for years, who needs a 6/2 split when after a midfield has been trying to contain Aki or Henshaw for sixty minutes, they have to deal with the other coming on fresh for the final twenty
For Scotland. Henshaw for Aki with Osborne to the bench.
Finlay might not make it after his injury.
Clarkson looks really good and could start with Furlong/Aungier on the bench.
Also Mc Carthy for Hendo on the bench (if he is fit) Boyle for Healy.
If McCarthy is not fit then Izuchukwu or Ahern should be on the bench in place of Henderson who no longer adds much.
Only thing i would change in your updated team is leave Henderson out of the team. If Joe is back put him there or someone like Cormac Izzy. Offers more impact off the bench I do think his time in the Irish 23 has passed
Might Dupont in the champions cup final last year and PSDT in the world cup final be performances worthy of the elusive 10 rating?
Tim. Don't buy in to the Leinster type. Why would want the better player on the bench? Crowley is better.
For the last 4,5 or 6 years, it's been Scotlands year. Is that harsh?
I expect Ireland to win by > 10 points next Sunday.
Easily. We will once again hammer them.
Nerves got to Sam unfortunately, he is a young lad and will come good. Crowley should start verse Scotland, I think.
Healy cover TH and Hooker. That usually gets him on the bench as Porter is expected to play 70 mins and Ireland dont really have another LH anywhere near Porter
twindaloo... hah love it
Sheehan swaps with Kelleher, McCarthy in with Beirne, Ryan to bench. I like option of Baird at 6 though Conan merits start. Leave them as is for now. Boyle on bench for Healy
great peformance from Conan & Sheehan off the bench. they really changed the game. Crowley did well too but his poor defensive read and missed tackle at the end gifted england a try and losing BP.
Prendergast wayward kick caused the first try
What a scrap...crowley controlled it ,kicked it and tackled it ,class operator...strong minded too..don't push young predergast to soon...international rugby is brutal... well played ireland ( omahoney , j.mccarthy , crowley ,Nash to freshen up against Scotland)
Prendergast is playing at a level 10x better than crowley did at 21 and will definitelybe ireland's #1 choice but maybe not rn, however, Crowley was good off the bench but I'd still push prendergast to start can always take him off after 20 mins and when he's on it he really is great and you still get the experince of crowley for the final mins.
Omahoney and Nash aren't getting anywhere near this team even when fully fit tho.
@@user-is9of Nash has form over Hansen at the moment, and played well in the Six Nations last year. I don't see any reason not to give him game time.
Bit harsh on Healy with the rating, he came on at 73 mins, Murray came on at 74 mins and got a 6.5. Totally agree that it's time to trust a younger player, we need someone who can play at least 20 mins, Porter can't be playing 70+ mins every game
