She is absolutely right and saying the truth, though few have professional jobs majority are doing menial jobs for survival . I see them very early in the morning cleaning trains , buses and roads.

Sorry I accidentally deleted the initial post whilst replying a post. -- Though Nigerians do menial jobs, but the same can be said for all other nationalities. There are a lot of professional Nigerians in the IT sector, Accounts, HR, Banking Project Management, IT specialist especially Networking and Support, Pharmacy, Surgeons, Law, Scientists. So this view is very biased. It all depends on the people you mix with and where you personally work. This is a very wrong view of Nigerians in the UK, you also have a lot of Nigerians holding high managerial post. Nigerians also have good paying office jobs in all sectors. Even in universities you do have Nigerian professors. The kind of people you meet and see also depends on the job you do. If you're in a professional sector, you'll surely meet lots of Nigerians.

There were two questions asked, one was about "Are Nigerians happy in their job?" Being "Happy" is subjective and can be said about all nationalities. People are either happy or not happy in/ with their jobs, but this is not peculiar to Nigerians alone. The second question was about the numbers of professional Nigerians in the UK. For instant in England (As the United Kingdom also comprises of Scotland, Wales and NI). There are lots of Nigerians in most of the sectors which hold good professional jobs. There are lots of Nigerians doing very well and can be seen on lots of projects and in various departments. So it really depends were people work and their personal association that would determine the people they come across and their perspective. But in England it is very noticeable the Nigerians who have professional jobs if you are in any of these sectors.

There are requirements to work as a professional, even in Nigeria, Ghana or anywhere. If you don't have it, then you could do any other job until you obtain the set requirements to do the professional job. If you were selling people's landed properties before you travel out of Nigeria, what professional job do you intend to do in diaspora?
