😂These airplanes are very old, for several decades America and Europe have not sold airplanes to Iran and they do not even perform maintenance and overhaul of the sold airplanes. These airplanes are repaired and overhauled inside Iran with Iranian parts. Russia also after Sanction has signed an agreement with Iran to repair and overhaul a number of its Boeing planes in Iran

Very nice flight with rapid descent. Maybe one day when things are better in the world a visit to Moscow and Tehran will happen.
I doubt Russia and Iran will ever be normal countries soon. Outcasts for decades to come.
Both are amazing destinations. I did Russian in winter time. Really charming. Tehran was two months ago with TK, and the people are the friendliest ones in the planet.
@@paulj2948 Depends on what you consider normal. I got my iranian visa quick, the border was like a gentle breeze. Much easier than crossing any US border. Quite easy to socialise, eat, move and visit the country. Apart from the regime abnormality, I found the rest to be pretty normal. Even getting into the mosquees. Easier than getting in Morocco for instance.

Sichuan Airlines is really nice. I flew from Beijing to Chengdu in 2007. Brand new plane, great service and the food was spicy and delicious! That year I flew a crazy amount of planes including Northwest Airlines A330 from Tokyo to Beijing. It was nothing like the American version of NW. Everything was clean and brand new. Great video my friend with that beautiful 747-400. Thank you.
The 747 will FOREVER reign as The QUEEN of the air, Mr. Stone!! Allthough the LAST queen was delivered from Everett last week, to the American carrier Atlas air!! You might call the Russians and the Iranians monstrous bullies or whatever...BUT taking care of oldies-but-goldies, THAT seems to be something they really have got a GOOD grip on!! Don't you think?? Just a comment about no stamp. As Iran is a member of IATA, I believe, they share information about passengers traveling to Iran. My buddy went to Iran a couple of years ago and then this year he tried to apply for ESTA, he wasn’t given one after many many years visiting his relatives in the US and never having any issues. He eventually got a visa and travelled, but in the interview he was told that information about traveling to Iran was available to the US.

I get really frustrated with people behaving like dickheads on planes (taking seats, blocking aisles). The cabin crew are clearly used to it. You've got a lovely calm manner!

@@poletme, невниматльно он смотрел, всё ж понятно было. Крыло закрывало вид.
Видео интересное, спасибо. Между прочим, на ИЛ-86 ощущение огромного простора в салоне было ещё больше, ибо не было перегородок-боксов обслуживания посередине. Кресел в ряд было столько же: 3-4-3. А второй этаж и лестницы там тоже были - внизу рядами располагались полки для всего багажа, его пассажиры не сдавали.

@D R MANY of the mountains in that area are indeed rather HIGH, averagely between 15 000 and 20 000 feet (some 3000 and 6000 meters)...that's why they seem so close!! Europe's by far tallest peak is in the area...the ELBRUS!! All the BEST to you, D R!! Regards...me...

I flew this plane at one time or another in the 90s under UNITED... When United was stil treating their customers well 😂😂😂(look up United kills guitars on YT... There are 3 or 4 songs abt it)

должно быть легализовано использование электрошокеров для пассажиров препятствующих проходу. это милые люди, которые грузят/выгружают из полок над креслами, просто стоящие в проходе. как вариант (требует проработки), не открывать полки, пока все пассажиры не пройдут к своим местам. посадка в самолет будет занимать 5 минут или с меня 100 баксов.

Волга обмелела в прошлом году в сентябре летели в Турцию из Казани. В Уральске сели на эстреную посадку. Девушка с дцп умерла. Летели через грузию, там такая гроза была! Очень классно смотреть Ваши видео. Удачи!🤝

It's interesting to see such an old model like the 747 still flyin in the sky. Mahan Air used to fly with a newer Airbus 340-600 between Teheran and Düsseldorf Germany.
Not just to Dusseldorf, i've been flying with Mahan on a 340 twice from Milan back in 2018.
Lufthansa still uses 747s for passenger flights, on a route like Prague-Miami

I know only flying is your thing, but you must definitely pay a visit on foot and explore Tehran, and also explore Mazandaran and rasht especially, very beautiful nature, it looks even better than swiss. 😅
As a Mandarin speaker, I understand what the Chinese people are discussing. They seemed to be confused with their seating arrangements. (I think they can't speak Russian) I wonder why they were going to Iran from Russia in a large group? I guessed they were going to work there as construction workers.
I think they worked in Russia and now returning home with transit in Tehran airport.

Both Boeing manufactures Boeing parts and Iranian companies.😂😆.but iranian parts are so cheaper. They have passed the desired standards and have flights to EU airports like Dusseldorf, Paris london and several other European cities.

I've only flown on the upper deck twice during my travels. Once in June 1983, I flew First Class Pan Am from JFK-FCO, and the other flew Clipper Class on PA from FRA-LHR in July 1985. It's like you're on a private plane up there.
A great VDO of the classic Boeing 747-400 and very well filmed 👍✈ It is very interesting that Mahan Air still flies the 747, such a great aircraft. Boarding did look rather chaotic though !! ✈✈🤣🤣

Absolutely crazy boarding scene - so annoying when people don't know what to do. Finding one's assigned seat is not rocket science. The cabin crew were clearly already tired and hadn't even left the gate yet!
I loved the SP version which was ordered by Iran Air specially (as the SP referring to) for the flight from Tehran to New York! i flew with it many times from Tehran to Beijing! it’s being used as cargo now! Manufactured in 1976

Iranian airlines are neat orderly good food great service. At least that is the impression out of the vlogs. And speaking of the Iranian nation, that airport was pristine. All this despite hypocritical western sanctions. Love them.

Extremely fascinating and inspiring video. I do not know much about the aviation sector of either Russia or Iran and therefore this video gave me an insight into both countries. My hope is that in the future Western sanctions on Iran and Russia will be lifted so that the aviation sectors of both countries can live up to their full potentials.

I assume that the Chinese group are a group of labourers. Was thinking about construction workers, more specifically a group of welders, steel fabricators. To all above who know so much about Russia: the huge exploration of the Siberian Yamal gas fields is largely performed by qualified Chinese engineering companies.
That those labourers are not very familiar with aviation is no big problem. At least they do not behave as bad as the drunk , aggressive passengers on low cost airlines - passengers who fly much more often for cheap binge drinking in the Baltics

ایران به دلیل تحریم ها مجبور شده است در تعمیر و نگهداری هواپیما خودکفا شود و مجددا چرخ را اختراع کند هم اکنون تمام هواپیما های مسافری در ایران تعمیر و آور هال میشود
