    It's not creeping up, the pressure is changing like it does all the time.

    Looking forward to the other comparisons of the Testo products. Thanks for the discount at TruTech also! Just kicking back tonight watching your vids and giving a listen to 100 Watt Vipers, sounds good. Thanks for all your vids, great channel you have built.

    I have the Testo Smart Probes. They are great. I'll never go back to a big set of gauges again.
    The one problem I have with them, is the fact that the rubber starts to separate around the on/off button and exposes the electronics beneath and exposing the electronics, rendering the protection from the elements useless after only a few years of use.
    That is only 1 of my 2 concerns I have for the 510i. As a Service Tech, I don't care about speed. I care about PRECISION. But, I don't need the pageantry, ritual and pomp and circumstance of powering up an app on my phone to read something that shouldn't take long to read.
    That's just my take on it (not right or wrong, just my opinion).
    I'm very happy with my 510. It's a great tool and much smaller than my old Fieldpiece manometer I started out with, years ago.

    good video. i think all digital manometers have creep. its similar to digital gauge sets that show you ever so slight movement in pressures.

    El de la app: ¿es fiable para realizar una prueba de estanqueidad en instalaciones de gas natural?

    I think I'm going to have to get myself one of those

      One thing I like about the Testo probes over the AAB stuff is that the app does multiple things where AAB only does 1 tool per app

    I've never had or seen a high resolution digital manometer that didn't have some creep in the reading, even ones that claim to have temperature compensation.
    It is due to temperature change, just holding it in your hand is all it takes.

      DP Measurements (a UK company) make some brilliant autozeroing Micromanometers. The absolute best out there in my opinion, Testo TSI/Alnor/Airflow & Kimo all used.

    Could this be used to measure a house propane gas line?

    i have the testo 510i and i use it on daily basis at work ( air balancing) , testo 510i is a great tool for static pressure but absolutley useless for velocity readings as it doesnt have the accuracy required to meaaure small differences between static pressures vs total pressure

      Mark what are you using to read velocity? I need to do readings on kitchen hood filter faces using a Velgrid. I’m trying to figure out what’s the best option for this. Thanks

    Is Testo 510 suitable to measure Pressure Difference of a liquid with the viscosity of around 0.2 Pa.s?

    • @StephenRardon
      @StephenRardon  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question, I'd say check their website or search for a Testo 510 user manual on Google. I don't know off hand

      Just air for these gauges. Moisture of any type will damage these.

    Given you've used both which do you prefer?

    • @StephenRardon

      The 510i is much less expensive

  • @khosravihaghighi
    @khosravihaghighi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    you simply cannot use this instrument for velocity readings, it doesnt not have the resolution!! definitley not ideal for the balancing trade!!

      Thanks for the good tool info.
      I went to HVAC training in Phoenix in the early 70's but spent my entire career working on electrical
      control systems, which is what I did prior to school in the Navy.
      A friend hooked me up with a Testo wireless temperature instrument (to use). I blown away! So as I creep back into HVAC now in my retirement years, I'll look to you and others for tips and advise.
      Once again, thanks!
