As a 73 year old English man it is wonderful to see such a dedicated and highly skilled person with incredible attention to detail producing such amazing work.
Your work on the XK150 FHC looks gorgeous. In 1960 I was a teenager driving my dad`s early `58 FHC like the one you did, but with black trim. Now I drive a fully restored late `58 XK150S OTS in BRG over tan trim. Congratulations on a very fine job. Thanks for sharing.
I've owned seven of the older jags including an XK150S roadster, but the 150 coupe was the one I ultimately wanted but never owned. Thanks for the tour of this gorgeous model.
WOW MAN! LUV D HELL OUTTA THAT JAG! I'm a Jag lover! Kinda reminds me of my 1963 TR 3's 64 TR4 N A 67 TR6 Triumph's I used to have N Luv Bk in D 80's! Same kind of rims motor N carbs I saw there! Now I got a 2003 S-type Jag I'm tryin to get bk in shape! Nothn like D old Jags thou but it takes W/It takes! Luv D job U did on that Beautyful Jag! Congrats! WOW!
Better...BETTER...than factory. Never understood why anyone could own a car like this and be proud to drive it in unrestored, shabby, dented, torn, rusty "original" condition and then brag about THE PATINA!! Holy smokes, give me a break. These are beautiful cars and when everything on them is absolutely pristine and perfect, THAT BEATS ORIGINAL any day of the week. Great job!! Isn't it a shame we humans can't be "restored" when it becomes time? Oh well, love the car. It's beautiful.
Hi, I'm an 87 yr old Army veteran that has owned and raced 31 Jaguars in my past, from 3 MKV,s to several V-12 cars. I raced a c model during my stint in Germany 1954 thru 1957. I really enjoyed the Mark !V. I/ve never had one. I've seen 2 others in the past, tried unsuccessfully tried to buy them. Excellent work on the 150. I had a drop head 150 in Virginia in 1966. Keep upthe excellent work.
WOW we are honored that you show us this :) You should be so proud of what you have achieved, IT IS BEAUTY Richard I know you are a great lover of originality BUT you and this customer have come to an agreement on a absolutely stunning car. I'm SORRY I can't resist is that a new wiring harness. Just busting you. What an amazing car collection that gentleman has.
How does one describe this video in a few words,... Near Perfection, comes to mind, Well done Richard. Thanks for the segment with Rudi, it was most enjoyable.
RMO waited weeks and weeks and weeks for this episode checked online every morning, stunning final episode and your guy Rudi should be required watching, away to kiss my 150 now , thanks so much for the series Richard, will miss it
The Jag and it's journey from start to finish was great but Rudi's presentation was incredible. Has obviously had a very successful business and is now enjoying the fruits of his labor.👍
Netflix could make a 3 part documentary in Rudi's garage; incredible. I've loved this series, kept me fascinated during lock-downs. Unlikely I'll ever have the wherewithal to have you restore a Jaguar and ship it back to the UK, but I'll buy another lottery ticket now just in case...
I think I feel I have just died and visited "Automotive Heaven". You've done a wonderful job on the XK 120 Richard, and thanks for taking us all along to Rudi's.
Wonderful wonderful cars. If there was a word to take you beyond perfect, then it could be used during the description of some of these wheeled artworks. Thank you so much for sharing these beauties with us Richard, and please pass on my own heartfelt compliments to your dear friends. 🙏🇬🇧
Top quality work, Richard! That tour of Rudi's museum/shop was over the top. What a genuine, nice man- it must have been fun to work for him in the heyday. I learned a great deal about Jaguars from this series, and I noticed so many similarities between the Jaguar and Astons that I suffer with- I mean work on. Even the shape of the upper part of the rear view mirror and those special slotted attachment screws. The carb access panel was copied on the DB4-DB6 cars as well. Just a pleasure to watch and your narration is always very good. Your customer must be thrilled with her, and good on him for his good choices. Lastly, you're 1000% right about all those restoration shows, especially the ones with the fake deadlines. They don't show you the horrors of component failures, parts delays, incorrect parts, etc. Overall, a very enjoyable series and a wonderful finished product. Your Wurth guy must love you for putting his kids thru college :) Cheers, Tom
Absolutely magnificent! I truly enjoyed watching this build. The attention to detail, superb craftsmanship and knowledge of processes, parts, history and all the nuances of restoration are impressive. Congratulations!
Thanks Richard for all the insights on the XK150. You put a lot of Ah!s into many of my Uh?s. Such dedication to detail. Congratulations on an amazing project.
A very honest assessment. A restoration mutates into a development project once resembled, which can be depressing. “don’t mess with Mona Lisa!” Never a truer word said! Very pleasing, you appreciate these British cars and invest so much time and money in them.An absolutely cracking job!
What a simply beautiful car. The, by now, long dead designers of the XK150 would never have imagined that they were designing a car that would still be running 70 years after it was built. However, it's a testament to their skills, the love of the owners and yourself that is now still with us, and in a condition better than it ever left the factory. If any of the assembly line workers that put that car together are still alive, they are now approaching or in their 90s. I wonder what they think?
I am British Racing Green with envy. So sorry this series is over, I love your attention to detail and passion for automotive art work. Congratulations on your masterpiece.
My only comment here Richard Michael : 😳🤩 ! No, really, what a fabulous job you have done on this magificient car ! I'm in awe ! I've been foloowing you since your budget rebuild of the scrap yard engine with the help and counselling of your Dad for your own E-Type of some years ago. And now to this extraordinary shall we say logical "resto-mod" car for your fortunate Florida client. The visit to your mentor was poignant. I felt Rudi's pride while appreciating your work. And your own nervousness getting his approval. That was so loaded with emotions ! ❤️ It reminded me of my own reunion with a high school teacher who had a dramatic influence in my life. Me, being so shy and timid, bullied all the time. I was so proud to show him what I'd become because of him. If I may, you with the help of media friends MUST do a documentary on this unusual man. Only his tool box by itself is a testimony of great years and anecdotes ! I could'nt help noticing the BRE sticker on it. Being a serious Datsun fan of the era, I'd REALLY like to know his involvement with them ! Rudi and his past employees, now artisans on their awesome own. There are so many few craftsmen nowadays ! Richard Michael, you're now invested with the bright continuation and preservation of your Dad and Rudi's artwork. You have no choice, *mon ami* ! Cheers ! Marc from Varennes, Québec PS Aaaah, the sound of a Jag straight six. Unmistakable ! Unique.
Wooow !! What a exceptional automobile 🚘 you have built 😃. And your friend really have some amazing cars to, especially the 62 Morgan - WOW man !!! It's always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks a lot for everything man, I'm just flabbergasted 😲 again !!
Fantastic, just Fantastic XK150 restoration. Rich and Dad go straight to the "Top of the Class" amazing video and what a great visit to Rudi's garage what a Man!! I am just so sick in the guts with Jealousy!! Looking forward to your next video? Cheers from Down Under.
Kudos to you Richard and involved in the restoration of the XK 150. I’ve followed the project from the beginning and watching & listening to the passion put into the car I never expected anything less when seeing the final product. Thanks for the walk around at Rudy’s, absolutely awe inspiring workmanship. I’m going to have to find a quiet spot & watch the video again. Maybe on one of our beautiful Cotswolds roads, pull into a lay bye and drool over all of those pieces of mechanical art. Thanks for taking us along on the journey, every episode has been a pleasure to watch. Regards from England 🏴👏👏👏
Congratulations to You your Father and all your support Team . The XK 150 is fantastic . A dream come true for the Owner. Also a thank you to Rudi for letting us view his Girls totally unblievable-Mind Boggling
Richard, a man with your great talent and commitment to detail no longer needs approval from past masters, you are one already! Congratulations on your latest masterpiece ~ absolutely beautiful.
Awesome Richard! So great to have Rudi give you his stamp of approval. I thought he might cry. It really is great to see the tradition not only carried on but with so much passion. Cheers!
You have done a fantastic restoration ,you should be very proud of the end result, to have Rudi congratulate you is huge. Awesome videos I really enjoy them.
Wow, such a beautiful car in such a sensational setting. You may be losing the use of the car Michael, but your keeping the setting and as someone who lives in a similar setting in Cheshire England, I know which would be the more painful to lose. Fantastic work, by you and God.
I feel young again ! - driven most of these models "at speed" with the exception of the Morgans, including delivering a few new Sunbeam Tigers from London to Dusseldorf where I worked for Rootes there. Thanks again Richard & Rudi 😉for a demonstration on just how these vehicles should be restored.
Richard, Congratulations! A job well done!! If Rudi approves, you know you've kicked butt. Really enjoyed the tour of his garage too. He seems like such a cool and humble man. Cheers to you both!
What a fabulous restoration! Hats off to you and your dad for incredible attention to detail. Thank you for sharing this series with us. I can’t wait for the next one.
Fantastic finale to the XK150 project Richard, thx very much again! Really well produced with clear, helpful explanations 👏👏. The tour of Rudi's garage was an added bonus 👍. Looking forward to the next series, and chatting with you again soon.

What a superb result on the XK, really well done! And that collection!
Fabulous video, I can’t wait for the next restoration series. Best wishes from England as an XK120 FHC owner.
Outstanding restoration sir. I love your channel as it is always full of interesting things.
