Sorry for more pain than crack videos lol. There wasn't a lot of Mingjue and Xichen videos here so I wanted to make one. As I said, I'm a multi shipper and 3zun is all pain. There weren't a lot of quotes I could pull from the drama because they didn't get a lot of screen time together. Which is a shame. I love this. Even if what had made fallen for this couple is the cartoon or manhua chapter 46 when they fought against headless NMJ and only LXC can tame him. It's like he can recognise even without his head and don't want to hurt xichen no matter what (even when he got no prob.trying to kill LWJ)

I feel like I'm one of the few who ship Xichen and Mingjue while others ship Xichen and Guangyao. Same with Xiao XingChen and Song Lan. I ship them so much especially if you read the book because the two were really soulmates who would die for each other and wanted to create a sect together. But everyone ships XingChen with Xue Yang. It's hard shipping unpopular ships lol.

I like Mingjue's character. He was a bit too righteous but he wanted to do the right thing. I understand why Huaisang did what he did. Siblings gotta protect each other. Xichen really got the short end of the stick though.

I always thought Lan Xichen was very important to Nie Mingjue. It was obvious how much he cared for him. He made decisions against his better judgement, because of his trust on Lan Xichen. It's sad how it turned out for him.

Can't believe I missed this gem earlier. I love both the Mingjue and Xichen so much, and their relationship arc was the most mature and complex in the series. Like deep, grown up stuff... holding the world together for the younger gens. Exquisite soundtrack too. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽This is really well done. Love your work Earl Hatter! (and btw, I have to believe Xichen finds his own true soulmate in the next chapter... He has to, or I'll die crying!)

I love the Untamed drama with all my heart, but one of my few complaints is that the drama didn't do Nie Mingjue's character as much justice as the novel did. The drama spent more time on Jin Guangyao, which I'm guessing is why the Xichen/Guangyao ship is so popular among Untamed viewers.
I only found this story a few weeks ago. I love these two. They care so much for each other. It's so sad Xichen lost pretty much everyone he loved. I'm also a writer on ao3 and am planning to ship these two. They have such an awesome energy together. Love the vid.

They are my OTP!! The power couple they could have been... and honestly while I first was for XiYao ( the first time they saw each other in Untamed... yeah) but then the first time Xichen and Mingjue shared a screen... I was like ohh, this is even BETTER! The way they look at one another... even when Xichen protected Meng Yao from Mingjue... 😍😍 And honestly, Xichen never really knew the real JGY. He believed the lie just like everyone else, because he didn't want to see the truth. He pretty much said so in the end. The only people who truly saw JGY was NMJ and Su She. NMJ wanted to change him and Su She just wanted to be by his side. Sadly, Xichen probably could have saved both NMJ and JGY had he been willing to see JGY flaws and not just accept NMJ's. If I'm really honest though, I'm not sure anyone could have saved JGY. He was already set on his path the moment he decided he'd do anything to have his Father recognize him, to have what he felt he deserved. Xichen probably could habe gotten him to give up on his Father ( he did that himself hn 😏) but that kind of selfishness is very hard to beat. He murdered many who had never done him any wrong just so he could have what he felt should be his (ex. Yanli, JZX) and would have killed WWX, LWJ and LSZ just to keep it all. He probably would have just locked JL up for the rest of his life -- bc, you know that's mercy 😒. Wonder how he would have explained all that to Xichen...
Anyway, I'm writing a fanfic on Ao3 for my OTP. 😁 Because there still needs to be more NieLan!

The still has his brother lan zhan and uncle lan Qiren which a lot o character didn't have. Yes Jiang Cheng has Jin ling but Huaisang has no one. Xichen didn't deserve the betray of one (maybe two if Huaisang it counted) Miegue didn't deserve his death but it clear Xichen blames himself for the whole thing which is really sad.
Well I agree with you that all of these people have someone with them like lan zhan and Wei wuxian, xichen and uncle lan qiren, jiang Cheng and jin ling, wen ning and sizui the one who left alone was nie huaisang

In Fatal Journey Nie Huaisang literally risks his life to save his brother and REALLY doesn't want to be the Sect Leader. Now he got his worst nightmare. No brother and a whole Sect to look after.
lan huan choose to believe in guangyao over both mingjue and lan zhan and confessed he knew he was doing shady shit but stayed quet because he thought he had a good reason so more than betrayal i think huaisang decided to also punish him by making him kill guangyao

Thanks! I always suspected that Mingjue hated Mengyao for more than their relationship. And it makes sense. He was Zichen's swrod brother first... If only Zichen hadn't bought Mengyao's lies... Maybe, Mingjue wouldn't have died 💔💔💔
To me they had a strong brotherhood, but I kinda felt like Xichen had more of a connection with Guangyao. Tho now cause of this that went out the door. Lol

I actually ship Su She with JGY. Mainly because Su She saw everything that JGY was about and was loyal as hell to him even in the very end. Wen Chao however can take a hike and same with his dad.
