Dogs and scooters are the perfect combination! Most dogs run about the same speed as you go on your scooter. So why not bring him along? You’ll both get a great workout, and you’ll be able to go even farther than usual.
The dog wears a sledding harness that is designed to distribute the weight of the scooter evenly so it doesn’t cause a strain to any part of the body. The scooter is just a non-motorized wheeled vehicle that you can stand on. Most are suitable for wooded trails as well as running on pavement. There’s a brake pedal to allow you to slow the vehicle when going downhill so you don’t clip your dog and you can use your own feet to help with uphill and more difficult terrain.
Scooters are fairly narrow making them ideal for trails and narrower areas that a traditional cart cannot negotiate. If you have well-behaved dogs you can even use your scooter in town to run errands. Always make sure you have full control when going in town since you will need to factor pedestrians and traffic into the equation.
The first time, just keep the dog secured to the scooter for a few hundred metres. Then stop, give him a treat, remove the harness and reward him by letting him run free. This will help him link dog scootering to having fun. Repeat this with longer distances when you feel your dog is ready. You can do multiple training sessions in one day as long as you’re sure you’re not overworking the dog.

Its not only for 1 dog when you can use 3? Check out some of my latest shorts on street mushing, and let me know what you think. You're right on about scooters being so much safer than bikes, it feels that way i've tried both and scooters are the way to go. Greetings!

I actually do this with Jupiter using a Tadpole Trike. It's way safer than using a two wheeled bike. Google to check what it is, if you're curious!
Actually I never trained him for this and he'll pull me in the first few minutes of our ride when I got out with him using the trike.

I saw few people riding on Trike in my city, but never with dogs. I never ride it myself tho. It definitely must be safer.
Its true, some dogs do not need to be trained for that.. some will even naturally go biking with you with no problem.

Beast breeds are NOT Great Danes. Best breads are German Shorthaired pointers, GSP crosses, huskies, husky crosses.
