Do you know what water does in the sunlight? Water drops act like tiny magnifying glasses so misting your garden in the middle of the day during particularly hot days can cause damage to your plants. Watering in the early morning is recommended. Watering at night isn't recommended either because that's when fungi has it's best opportunity to grow where you don't want it to. If your plants need a little less direct sun, maybe some overhead netting or other type of temporary shade.

Wow it’s amazing here in Florida everyone’s garden is not burnt to a crisp. It rains every day for 15 minutes then the sun comes back out. I’m so lucky my whole yard is not burnt

It seems to me that those who developed the scarecrow sprinkler must never have owned a dog. Since most dogs get huge kicks out of playing with ordinary garden sprinklers, specially on a hot summers day. It may work with other animals and it might also scare a dog the first couple times. But it is far more likely to attract them, once they have gotten used to it.
