    I built my 92 for my washer about 5 years ago. Still works great, and still use the washer when the weather is decent enough to use it.

      I like the old washers, they're pretty cool!! Mine was a pain in the balls dragging to the shows so I sold it!!☺

    Amazing the magnets are still good on these 90+ year old Engines,
    taping into some endless energy somehow... makes ya wonder.

    • @805ROADKING
      @805ROADKING  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that is interesting!! Of all the small engines I've worked on over the years I've only come across a few with bad magnets!!☺

    Needs a nice wooden propeller on the front of it, and maybe a stand. Maybe get rid of the kick start all together. Make a cover to go over the ignition stuff. Heck you could even give it electric start if you wanted with one of those old starter/generators. Lol so many ideas for it. Thanks Roadking! 😄

    • @805ROADKING

    You know, i missed this series, no idea how, but i knew i missed the previous video you put out, popped in the channel mainpage, and thought to myself, what are those wacky boys up to, they made another engine? Because in my mind, this Maytag (that i didn't even know existed, for shame) looks like something you and the gang would fabbricobble from bits and pieces. :))

    For me it would be interesting because it's different, the single cylinder B&S engines you often work on are all very similar so this would make a nice change. I would suggest that you strip it down a bit further so that you can properly assess cost implications then decide how far you want to take it, even if that is just getting it running. Also, you need to think about yourself and if the project will bore you, then just don't do it - no point being a martyr to youtube. Maybe there's other different small engines you would enjoy more which would be just as interesting to the channel.

    Maytag / Briggs get younger generation into the hobby ever year
    They are costly if you put them back perfect
    I'm off to the largest engine show and swap in world Portland Indiana
    Stay safe roadking

    A money pit for you on something you have little interest in could be a springboard for someone just getting into old engines. If it runs, great, if not, well whomever it goes to at least has some reference material to work from. Either way, it's a win for the engine not to be headed to the scrapyard.

    10 bucks , 10 bucks , 10 bucks so what your preserving history ! You could donate it to a museum or something , I have ! Or you could bring it to a swap meet for show or mount it on a washing machine and give it to your wife for her birthday ! Just kidding on the last one , mine would kill me if I did that ! Lmao . ALL motors are worth saving not because there worth big bucks but because there cool !
