Video for their then unknown song "apologize". I made this film and shortly after Timbaland remixed the track and made the band famous. I now work as a filmmaker professionally.

I remember watching this on my first laptop when the video came out in 2008. I had utterly no clue this was fan made until today. I always thought this was the actual video. I wanted to learn the song on piano, so I went on to you tube to listen to the song and realized that this wasn't the official video. All those years I thought this was it.
This truly deserves to be the official video. It's far better than the actual official one that I didn't even know existed until today.

Also, I just want to add that this was made in 2007/2008. This level of cinematography from a regular person was absolutely unheard of. Just look up some of the videos from back then. Everyone was recording on crap video cameras that could be out performed by a flip phone. Not to mention that editing software was nothing like it is today. No where near as user friendly. Beyond impressive work.

In 2006, I swore to myself I'll never listen to OneRepublic again because this particular MV gave me childhood trauma.
But here we are, in 2022. I went on one of their concerts this May. Guess what. 1R is one of my top listening bands for several years now.
Work of art. I remember years back when this song came out and this vid was accompanied by it. I always thought it was the original. And like only recently I find that this is not the original but fan made? Cinematography spot on and invokes such feeling. Can't say anything more then I am blessed to watch this.
