Wow, it sure has changed since the 90s!
Used to be rocks everywhere on the trail, even the easy side.
There were even some ledges on the hard side that were fun to take at speed as you could get good air.
1996 or 7 was my last time there.

I miss the 90's, life was better and more trails were available, but networking is easier now and youtube!

I was waiting to see if you were going to go off the drop or to the right going down after the boulders but you didn't show that part. That GPX looks like a awesome bike ! I ride a mk11 (1978) Bultaco Frontera. I need to keep a little more momentum going up the hills and of course kick starting can be a chore if (when) stalling like on the rock garden. Not much sitting with the 78 suspension either. I only made it to the Marienville trails once this year and Rocky Gap the next day. I'm 64 and seems like I had more injuries this year than normal on my own practice trails. And between work and cutting in my own trails time was also a factor. Hopefully I'll make it to the ANF trails more in 2021. Have you also tried Majestic trails ?

I think I wen to the right? I've never even heard of that bike, but I bet it brings lots of smiles! Yeah I love my GPX bike, it's just a fantastic bike. I have not been to majestic yet, but it's on the bucket list for sure. I'd like to hit the Famous Reading outdoors trails too. I hope I'm still hitting the trails when I am 65 and beyond!

You should do a “modifications list so far” video...I’m sure that’d be cool to see and hear some of your knowledge on what you use and why.

So honestly the only add on is the hand guards. These bikes come with all the goodies already so it's hard to find stuff right off the bat. I suppose the next thing would be a seat concepts seat

Just a quick question, wanting to get a fse300 or 450. Was wondering how the 300 did on the highway or if you ever wish you had the extra power of the 450. I do a lot of tight trail riding but have to take the highway where the speed limit is 65mph to get to the trails. Any info helps!

So all these bikes come geared for off road. I can cruise stock gearing at 55 for a bit but the engine rpm is high for stock gearing at that speed. If you were to change it for a more dual sport purpose then yes it’s good on the highway. The engines are smooth and they ride nice as a dirt bike can on the road with off road tires. I sold my drz to buy the 300 and I don’t regret it, but the drz was a tad more road friendly, but I would take the 300 over it any day.

Oh no I don’t wish I had more power of the 450. The power is plenty on the 300 and for the type of riding I do, I don’t want more power and weight. The 300 is very torquey and it pulls just fine!
