Man, I remember having tickets to see this with my cousins (who were all within two or three years of being the same age) around 2004 or 2005 or so, and obviously I was super pumped for the show. Well, turned out that my older sister had a dance recital rehearsal that she couldn't miss on that same day, so we would have to go to that first before we got to go see this show. We would just have to get to the show whenever she finished up, so I was definitely bummed about it lol, but I was a kid, man, what are ya gonna do, ya know?? So sister finished her rehearsal, and we all went straight to the theater right after. I was beyond excited to finally see the show. It had been advertised and hyped up so much for months in advance, and my young mind was so ready and willing to see some real "magic" and real "dragons" up on stage for the first time. Unfortunately, we were only able to catch the last 15 or so minutes of the entire show lol (I was a young kid, so it was probably a lot more than 15 minutes that I actually saw, but that is just how I remember it going down in my head). I remember feeling a bit upset that the show didn't last longer, but I also remember being totally stunned by the parts that I did get to see. It was seriously like seeing real magic right in front of me, and it stuck with me for many, many years (even to this day now, I guess lol). Plus I got a really cool souvenir cup that I still have. Obviously I would have loved to have seen the whole show, but hey, at least the parts that I did see really impressed me and made me remember it even all these years later. Kids' shows in the late 90s and early 2000s were so dang good, man. I just hope the current young generation is also taking in awesome PBS shows like I did with Dragon Tales or Arthur or Clifford. Those things were so awesome to grow up on, and have obviously made an impact on me now, nearly 20 years later. Rest assured, whenever I have kids down the road, they will be raised on those awesome shows for sure. What a nostalgia kick this has been for me!
The cool thing that you can't see in a video is that after they said the rhyme, the dragon lights flew around the audience and it was exactly like being inside the effect from the show. It was amazing. Also, at the performance I went to the techs running the show were singing and dancing along with all of the songs 😂😂 It was so cool that they were that into the show. BTW, I think there were two troupes touring at the same time - I think this cast is the one shown in the program, but the one I saw was the other cast. (I won't say how old I was when I saw this. Let's just say I was not part of the target demographic. ☺️)
@Firebird1971 if you work at Disney, can you try and get Toodles from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in more TV shows? I even have an idea for a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse special
@Firebird1971 It's one of those 44 minute to 1 hour specials. It's called _Mickey Mouse Clubhouse_ : Helping a Helper. The synopsis is this: When a virus infects the Liquid Light inside the Mousekedoer, Toodles becomes severely sick and is unable to perform his usual tool distributing duties. The Clubhouse Gang must do everything they can to purify the Liquid Light of this infection and help their mechanical friend feel better. Here are the synopsis for each part Part 1: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Quoodles, venture into the Mousekedoer to purify the Liquid Light before a virus destroys the Mousekedoer from the inside out and save Toodles from permanently shutting down. Part 2: The Sensational Six are on a mission to find something to help a sick Toodles feel better. Meanwhile, Quoodles is struggling with her inner turmoil between helping The Sensational Six on their mission or staying behind and helping Toodles recover.
I went to this a loooong time ago as a little kid, and I vaugely remember it myself. I was reminded of this when I saw old pictures of me at the show. I also went the Barney the Dinosaur and Blues's Clues live show, which I have more memory of :)
I watched this when I was four years old I have all dragons from the show (stuff animals) they don't talk no more tho 😢 I almost cry when I saw this 😢😢😢😢
Max shushes at 0:03 & 3:28 when he says, "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I went with my family when I was like 2 or 3. It was lit. The thing I really remember though is the villain Sirus (whatever tf you spell it) he had his own song.
Don't get me wrong here This looks like it was a fun show to go and see. But there's one little problem, I don't think there was ever an episode of Dragon Tales where the characters spoke to us.
strongerwarrior2 Same here The only thing about this that I don't like is that the characters are speaking to us and treating us as if we're part of the show and they never did that in the tv show.
+Lynn Stoller First of all let me just point out, I grew up with Dragon Tales as a kid I was in 1st grade when this show came out so I was at just the right age for it and I remember it quite well. There was never an episode where the characters actually spoke to us. In the play they do and that doesn't seem right to me.
Please let me know if you find a full video of Blue's Clues Live (and maybe convince Nickelodeon to revive it, and then audio and videotape it yourself?). I'd really like to see that
*face paws* i remember when this was advertised and wow it looked kinda lame but of course i am 20 now and all that kinda stuff is lame but i will let my kids watch when i have kids
There is something I don't understand: In the series, they never made it seem as if the characters were talking to the kids watching it. Why are they doing it here?
OMG I WENT TO DRAGON TALES LIVE! omg that brings me back to my childhood! im 15 now:) omg i was 7!!! this used to be my all time favorite show!
Forget Pokemon Live, this is real lost media!!!!
1:15 Dragon Tales Theme
Thank you so much! These puppets and costumes are awesome!
I remember seeing this as a kid. I didn’t realize it was so short. This video is great quality for the time it’s been recorded thx for posting.
Even better that they used the original voices for the dragons :)

I have never gotten to see dragon tales live because I didn’t even know about it. So pretty much I missed out 💯.
Just to clarify the costumed characters are articulated. Which means that the eyes can blink and the mouth moves

I remember going to see this with my daycare when I was a little girl 🥺 I wanted the cotton candy but my teachers said no xD
Your teachers should've considered having some parents of your then classmates as chaperones. Did both of your parents work at the time?
@@petercaruso2502 My memory’s fuzzy. 🤔 I just remember the childcare workers being responsible for us
This is brilliant on every level
I went to this when I was toddler I loved dragon tales when I was little girl 💗💗

@Firebird1971 I can play her myself! I do a great Quoodles impersonation
No, they are not the original singers. This was the tour in 2004.
I went to this a loooong time ago as a little kid, and I vaugely remember it myself. I was reminded of this when I saw old pictures of me at the show. I also went the Barney the Dinosaur and Blues's Clues live show, which I have more memory of :)
If I was involved then I will definitely love this as my favorite childhood show
I had a feeling that you might have seen this and that I might find you in the comments 😏

@CONRAIL1991 You can still write a Dragon Tales story, and put it on FanFiction Wiki. I'd love to read a story about your new Dragon Tales characters.
I would love to see the whole show if anybody's got it.
