Yes! The song had been growing in the days before the 21st. I think this year it had its best performance since it was released. It's amazing how a song can grow in popularity & popular culture decades after it was released. It hit #8 in 1979.
Not a fan of the throwback Top 5 unfortunately. I will say that I at least respect Logic's song for the importance of its message, even if I think it could've been conveyed a little better. I also can't believe it's been nearly seven years since the original version of 'Reputation'!
@@Edgeperor It's between "Bodak Yellow" and "Despacito" for me. Never cared much for "rockstar", while I find the other two dreadful and among the worst hits of the 2010s as a whole.

I think the upcoming Charli XCX x Ariana Grande collaboration as well as Morgan Wallen's eventual new single will prevent "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" from challenging "Old Town Road" 's record. But Shaboozey is likely to surpass both "As It Was" (15 weeks) and "Last Night" (16 weeks) as the longest-running #1 of the decade, which I really hope happens. I think "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" is much more deserving of this honour compared to the other two.
BOTW: Burning Down - I find it embarrassing that a song from a TikToker was my favorite this week, but the song is good. HM: Lost My Dog - Probably the best song on that awful mixtape, it doesn't have any obnoxious trap percussion. DM: Ski - This is bad Future song #1, these were so interchangeable WOTW: Plutoski - My god, he sounds like he wants to be Playboi Carti so bad, which is ironic considering what we got last week. Next week, 2nd to last week of the Billboard Year

@@connorcarleton9794 yeah, I guess those songs are better....that is if you like country, trap, and country-trap music, cause that's like 75% of the billboard charts nowadays lol
I'd say "Dancing In The Flames" is still good, but it's weaker than everything off "After Hours" *and* "Dawn FM", which to be fair is a testament to the phenomenal quality Abel delivered with these two projects. I also feel Max Martin lost his touch, where the melodies feel way too... 'calculated', and lack that explosiveness and intensity that defined his best work. It doesn't help that he borrowed melodies from his work on Ariana's "we can't be friends (wait for your love)", which in turn borrowed melodies and production elements from P!nk's "TRUSTFALL" from 2023 (also produced by Martin). The song had potential, though. I really enjoy the premise + lyrics and the acoustic version is beautiful. But yeah...I'm not surprised it underperformed, not helped by that boring music video. It baffles me an artist known for his immersive and unique visuals did a by-the-numbers ad for his lead single. And the "Timeless" video is just as generic and boring (the song is... eh, but Carti did a great job on his verse).
