He had so much of an impact on all of us. From hearing folks arguing about who was the best between him and Jordan to shooting b-ball and yelling Kobe. I think everyone is down. Work is so quiet. You can just feel the sadness. I guess the one beautiful thing about it was he was doing something he loved in his death: being a father. I’ve been so hard on myself over my father’s death. He wasn’t around growing up, but a few months before his passing, he reached out and I ignored his call. My sister planned a dinner 3 weeks before he died and I canceled it. That shit has been eating at me more and more and especially with Kobe’s sudden passing. it’s all I can think about. I couldn’t put my resentment and anger aside just to even break bread with him. I probably only saw him maybe 5 times in my life and one of them was at the funeral home. Kobe’s death just showed me more and more that you only get one life and it’s not forever. Forgive ppl and love on ppl while they’re here. I have so much regret for not even giving myself a chance to spend some time with my father, which I can never do now. 😢😥😔 But the wig is gorgeous. I hope they come out with some work friendly ones and do this with the free parting lace ones because BABY... they did an awesome job.
