I saw last week Christine Rice singing this role at ENO and she, and the rest of cast, was FAB. This was the top aria of the night, and she have done it in a brilliant way.
He is actually singing in Eb minor not E minor... not a big deal since he's a counter-tenor, not a true Mezzo but I'm curious as to which key was the original. Baroque tuning was about a half step flat from modern tuning so if E minor was the original key then it would have sounded in Eb in the time period in which it was written.
Haendel, genio immortale, mente musicale straordinaria, uno dei più grandi di sempre

Selene Perez Lolzzz
I you still haven’t heard a few years ago, philippe jarousky and jakub jozef orlinski sang it really well imo
I was just watching Orlinski doing this. Not even close to David in power, tone, clarity and vibrato.

I sure am interested.. Thanks for your comment
The aria is in E minor. They're simply playing with the usual "baroque" tuning La=415 Hz
It's never too late:)
I've thought Vivaldi's operas are the best, having listened to this, I have to have a second thought...
Vivaldi is repetitive and monotone 😴..... Handel is a lot better, more contrapuntal and complex.
Cicero homework sucks.
