I sure do thank you for making this process easier! I was over-thinking this, but your calm, steady voice and examples kept me from going all sledge hammer on this expensive piece of equipment! 😃 Thank you!
I am very glad to have been able to help everyone replace their belts. I completely understand because it can be a bit confusing at first. Sometimes I even have to go back and watch my own videos because I forget how to do something. Thanks so much for watching.
I just spent well over an hour tryin to put my belt back on using some other guy's directions. I remembered your video from the last time I replaced my belt, came back to it, and I was able to intall it correctly the first time! Thank you for very clear workable directions.!!!
Very helpful! The belts come with no directions, but you made this very simple and easy to follow. Much appreciated because now my Kirby is back to tiptop performance!
YOU ROCK TRAVIS!! Thank you soooo much! I've had this for six years and could not figure out how to put the belt on until your video -- always had to have someone help me.
This video was so helpful! I have been trying to put the belt back on my Kirby for months. I got my Kirby in January and have not been able to use it, until I saw this video. Thanks for posting it...now I can enjoy my vacuum cleaner.
I wish we had someone like you up here in northern New York. Honest, the weather's not so bad! Especially after this winter in the south! Thank you very, very much for sharing your expertise with the world. I was running out of expletives but then thought of looking here on TH-cam.
YOU are my hero! Thank you so much! My kids were starting to make smart alecky comments on spending a fortune on a vacuum that I had no idea how to maintain! I can now hold my head up high!
Excellent video. Now I fully understand the head and its parts. I must not have been setting the caps correctly. This is a very comprehensive video and I appreciate the time you took to do this so well. Thank you.
Thank you thank you thank you! The last time I took the roll off to clean out carpet fibers and hair, I couldnt get it back on. I paid $45 for someone to "fix" my Kirby. So you just saved me a bunch of money!
Awesome! So much hair and stuff that green light wasn't coming on and I always forget how to put the belt back on after I use other attachments! You rock!
Thank you for this. I was getting the order to do the belt completely backwards and I burned through two belts! I had lost the manual years ago (got my Kirby about 5 years ago), and I thought I had remembered how it was done. Thank you again, now my husband won't kill me for busting out $2k vacuum!
Thank you so much for a great how-to video! I could never tell if I had the belt on correctly and the vacuum didn't really work very well. After watching your demonstration, my Kirby is working great again! :-)
@TheCarolinadawn77 I have a saying...."if you can't change a flat tire then you probably shouldn't own a kirby." I love an empowered owner. Glad I could help.
Hi Travis hey l got some good news for you. I went to this vacuum cleaner shop and l saw this 1950 vintage Kirby today the guy is gonna fix this Kirby and sell it to me for 100.00 and he's going give all of the tools to me for nothing and he's gonna shine it up for me and just carefully check the vacuum, it belonged to older lady and she traded in and she took really good care of it. I got the shampooer and everything it's my first Kirby in whole life and now l can get rid of a piece of junk what have right now. I was so excited l just had to tell someone and you were that person, l know lm gonna love it so all for now thank you for taking the time to listen and you have a nice Kirby to. Thanks bye.
Thank you so much for your help. Really for me was terrific. because I don't speak to much English, so, your video step by step, was really, really good. Thank you again and God Bless You.
One question I have is the numbers on the roller depends on how worn your bristles are. So which is for new bristles and which is for old worn down bristles?
@travistarpy I just bought a Kirby. Is the belt supposed to hang loose at the bottom. I just vacuumed my carpet and the belt left black marks as it brushed over it. I don't think I have the belt on properly as this shouldn't happen
@baire702 Exactly. When the green led indicator starts stalling it is definitely time to change the belt. Just make it a habit to do the belt when you adjust your clocks for daylight savings time and don't forget to replace your smoke alarm batteries. lol
Can yt? ou tell me the name of the belt or the correct one i believe i got "kirby belt geared primary drive after 5/05 sentria" ...... im guessing i got the completely wrong piece

and the belt doesn't need to be broken to need replacing. they do stretch out of shape and then the brush roll doesn't turn.
happy cleaning!
my kirby is 40 years old with a red plaid bag and matching red trim, still works! even the head light.
Thanks for your help! I finally realized that I shouldn't take the head off of my vacuum without turning off the belt first :-)
Thank you so much. Your explanation was perfect and easy to follow

This video was very informative! Thank you

@RoyalREYES
Thanks.
I thought it was goofy at first, but have since enjoyed helping people.
@baire702
Exactly.

Thanks,
Travis

@travistarpy
I always polish my Kirby with "Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish" and elbow grease.
NEVER use scotch brite, steel wool, or window cleaner.
I never would have figured this out. one video explaining it had very hitler-esque music and I couldn't focus. thanks man!
Why doesn't my light turn on?
The green light indicates that the brushroller is turning.
nicely done
Thank you so much for this video!
Thanks for the instructional video.
I keep having to see this because I keep forgetting how to do it! Lol
You're welcome. Save the video for future reference.

@sabbath7081
I have seen 30 year old machine that looked better than some 5 year old machines.
If you take care of your kirby it will last for years.
Your the best
Thank you!!!
Fixed!!!
thanks, i caught my mistake ;)
@Moacha1913
Don't ever "take it in." Watch the videos, do it yourself and they buy yourself dinner with the money saved.
