#1 Dana is a promoter, he's always going to promote HIS GUYS. At that time Jon was long inactive so what does Dana do? Promotes the active fighter and tries to bait a response out of Jon so he has something to prove by coming out and fighting francis. Now the shoe is on the other foot as you clear see, its not that complicated.

It was the UFC 305 Countdown show. They showed Adesanya referring to the "3 African Kings" during his segment, but never showed Francis or listed his name. They did show Usman.
I'm a casual fan & immediately knew that because I consumed the content. Surprised that no one in the media room did.

Dana is unique. He is the biggest star that the UFC has got - and will ever have.
Why is Stipe even ranked in the top 10? How often does a heavyweight champ fight a #7 ranked fighter? Stipe is 2-2 in his last 4 fights and hasn't won a fight in FOUR years. His last fight was almost 4 1/2 years ago. He's a 42 year old has been. In Stipe's last 5 fights Stipe only fought 2 different people, DC & Francis. The last time Stipe had to face a different competitor was 7 years ago. About three years ago this would have been an OK fight but even then he was coming off of a loss. It's kind of like Jones couldn't get Francis, so he'll fight the fighter who lost that fight. This really isn't a fight MMA fans want to see. Dana keeps saying that it is, but why. Give me some reasons why a Stipe vs Jones fight is better than a Aspinall vs Jones fight. Stipe doesn't want to fight anybody else except Jones because he'd probably lose the fight which would ruin his chance for a Jones $$ fight. The UFC is just doing Stipe a solid. This is what they did for DC. DC fought Hendo a fighter older and way smaller than him. DC also fought The Spider soon after he came out of the hospital and was light. Lastly they gave DC Derrick Lewis. Lewis just got torn to shreds for 4:58 minutes and won by a haymaker KO. In the in Octagon interview Lewis was asked, "Do you want to fight DC next?" Lewis replied, "No, I'm not ready for him yet. I have to work on my wrestling, my cardio, and I have to fix my back. So it was clear that Lewis knew that he wasn't ready. He just took a serious beating too. A few days later the Lewis vs DC fight was announced. It was scheduled 31 days after Lewis got a beating. DC didn't want to fight Glover Teixeira, and he even said so.
