It would depend on the classification of discharge, dependent on the severity of the offense. A person discharged for insubordination could be discharged under honorable conditions: either an honorable or general under honorable conditions and be eligible for veteran's benefits. A discharge under other than honorable conditions: such as undesirable, bad conduct or dishonorable, would disqualify a vet for receiving benefits.

Rick Jason was in the Army Air Corps from 43-45 and went to school on the GI Bill. One cannot collect on the GI Bill when one is discharged for insubordination.

The major said few Germans would have ever seen an Albanian uniform, but Rick himself would be rare among the ethnic group ..steel blue eyes and tall like he was are virtually non extant for such lineage

As a matter of information, the chateau here is in France, but Rick did not want to go, so a stand in is in those long shots

It looks as if Rick Jason has been using some black hair dye lately. Compare his hair here with that in some of the earlier episodes.
