- Often pegged as the ‘White Desert Of India’, the earthy district of Kutch comes alive every winter between December - February owing to its magnificent festival - Rann Utsav.
In this episode of I Love My India, our chief travelling officer Kamiya Jani is seen attending The Rann Utsav - one of India's biggest, most colourful festivals. Bringing the state’s authentic musicians, dancers and other folklore artists, the festival is a cultural treat along with mesmerizing views of the sunset as well as moonlit desert sheet.

What a beautiful place...I had heard about Rann of Katch only in context of Pak-India's 1965 war and never knew this place was so lively...Wish both countries set aside their state politics and make it easy for us to travel across border... Love to kamiya from Pakistan.

Hi Kamiya, i have been seeing your videos for quiet some time, really interesting and nice to see lots of videos on India specific tourist locations. Lots of new avenues i get to see. Rann Utsav is known, but this video shows much details and evokes interest in going for an experience.
One request. Can you please add english sub-titles, as i have many friends abroad to whom i can share these videos, they will need to understand what you are explaining. We need more people to come to India for its beauty and that can be made possible from videos like yours.

I visited there last month and felt it's overhyped.
It has been on bucket list for long, and was excited to be there finally.
I visited it on full moon night, only that part I liked. It's not worth spending more than 1 day there. kala dungar was very boring and feels like it has been added by the agents just to add days to the itinerary.
Tent city was good, but few things can be managed better, like they forgot our 3 bags, and we got it late at night after several follow-ups.

हम लोग रहने पर फालतू का खर्च नही करना चाहते , तो कच्छ के रण मे सुरक्षित और बजेट मे सस्ता रहने का ऑप्शन क्या है जहा पर शुद्ध शाकाहारी भोजन मिल जाये और जहा पर रहकर हमे रन ऑफ कच्छ की पूरी मजा लेने का आनंद मिले सभी चीजे देखने को मिले, क्या के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम जो होती है क्या वह सिर्फ टेन्ट सिटी मे रहने वाले ज्यादा खर्चा करने वाले लोगों को ही देखने को मिलते है क्या कृपया इसकी जानकारी दे
और इन चार दिनो मे हमने कच्छ के रण मे क्या क्या देखना चाहिए, समय फालतू ना गमाते हुए कम से कम समय मे हम ज्यादा से ज्यादा किस किस क्रम से क्या क्या देखे इसके बारे मे विस्तार से डे वाईस प्लान देने का कष्ट करे

As a kutchi, I will tell you. The Rann has been over - rated and hence over- commercialised. No doubt it's beautiful to look in the night but the prices charged by resorts and the facilities provided leave many many visitors under- whelmed and hence critical.
Much better, economical to visit instead are bhuj Or South kutch especially mandvi taluka and coastline.
