Having lived in the west & India, I conclude that though the family structure is broken in the west, it still functions because of social programmes & govt assistance to broken families & children at risk. If a similar family & societal breakdown occur (which ssems likely from the way people are increasing acting nowadays) India would simply implode. Despite the numerous ills, India still totters along solely because of the family unit, the day families start breaking up is the day we can say goodbye to the notion/nation called India. Atul Subhash's act of desperation is a wake up call to all, esp to those who can see what is in store.
