  • An independent report, commissioned by the subregion’s Directors of Public Health and Population Health, who work together as the Champs Public Health Collaborative, and published in August 2024, has lifted the lid on the sheer scale of poverty in Cheshire and Merseyside and the unacceptable impact that this has on our children.
Dave Bradburn, Director for Health and Wellbeing (DPH) for Wirral Council, discusses with Kevin Duala on BBC Radio Merseyside the shear scale of the situation, with over 100,000 children living in poverty, worse than the national average.
