this was the first tripod I bought, I have bought 4 different ones since that time, and this one, is still the only one I use. One of my likes about this is that the legs are not stiff, they are easy to spread out with one hand and some pressure with a few fingers pressing outwards while you have your other hand busy with gear. I would love to do a review on this as well, its one of my favorite companies because its affordable, yet quality, yet on the leading edge of the best products ever produced.

Amazon has a bright orange note that says "Frequently returned item" - ouch

My rule for tripods is simple. Buy it once. Pick a weight capacity 3x the weight you need to support. Buy the best. If you can't afford the best, wait till you can. My choice is the RRS TVC-34 with a BH-55 ball head and a Wimberley Wh-200 gimbal. Sorry but with the price of full frame bodies and a decent lens, I'm not mounting it to a $150 tripod. I'd even suggest a really good monopod before settling for a cheap tripod. Why? Because a cheap tripod will offer no more stability than a monopod anyway and there is no way I'd leave gear on it without keeping it my hands on it.

Your tripod setup is over 2000$ including everything, I'm sure you got there trying more affordable things first.
No beginner would ever purchase 2/3000$ worth of tripod to begin with

@@LucaPetraliaPhotography A beginner wouldn't be shooting with full-frame bodies (5DMkIV at the time) with a range of L series lenses from 16mm all the way through the EF 500mm f4 L USM IS II, but I am.

@@jeffissimo1221 but that's my point. This is not a professional tool, it's a beginner tool, and in that range does what it's supposed to do

pro tip, put velcro on 2 of the legs and attach lights, I use rgb on the tripod and a soft warm light ontop of my camera

Very helpful video, it looks like a good option, unfortunately too late for me😂, I recently got a Sirui carbon fiber (very well made) for about $130 USD and a Benro 3-way geared head (which cost me more than the tripod). Be well.

Sirui and Benro make very good products, I'm sure you enjoy yours

How does this compare with weight and packability to something like the Ulanzi Zero?

The Ulanzi zero is more compact and lightweight. I don't know if it's better, I haven't tried it
