    Sorry for my English.
I am an Architect and I have the habit of doing this before the start of each work: I print out the whole set of plans and spread them out on the desk.
Then, being alone, I thank the Eternal for the work of the blacksmith, the bricklayer, the carpenter and all the hands that made the work possible. I know that if God does not build the building in vain those who build will work.
Finally I tell him "You are the Architect, I am just a simple administrator."

As far as "Me", you've accomplished putting that "spark and curiosity" back in me that has been missing for way to long. I pray all of us have listened and heard and that that "spark" has been ignited or reignited in them! G-d knew what he was doing when he gave you your calling. Many Blessings, Rabbi, to you and yours!

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
      1. Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the Verses of the Clear Book.
      2. We have revealed it an Arabic Quran, so that you may understand.
      3. We narrate to you the most accurate history, by revealing to you this Quran. Although, prior to it, you were of the unaware.
      4. When Joseph said to his father, “O my father, I saw eleven planets, and the sun, and the moon; I saw them bowing down to me.”
      5. He said, “O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers, lest they plot and scheme against you. Satan is man's sworn enemy.
      6. And thus your Lord will choose you, and will teach you the interpretation of events, and will complete His blessing upon you and upon the family of Jacob, as He has completed it before upon your forefathers Abraham and Isaac. Your Lord is Knowing and Wise.
      7. In Joseph and his brothers are lessons for the seekers.
      8. When they said, “Joseph and his brother are dearer to our father than we are, although we are a whole group. Our father is obviously in the wrong.
      9. “Kill Joseph, or throw him somewhere in the land, and your father‘s attention will be yours. Afterwards, you will be decent people.”
      10. One of them said, “Do not kill Joseph, but throw him into the bottom of the well; some caravan may pick him up-if you must do something.”
      11. They said, “Father, why do you not trust us with Joseph, although we care for him?”
      12. “Send him with us tomorrow, that he may roam and play; we will take care of him.”
      13. He said, “It worries me that you would take him away. And I fear the wolf may eat him while you are careless of him.”
      14. They said, “If the wolf ate him, and we are many, we would be good for nothing.”
      15. So they went away with him, and agreed to put him at the bottom of the well. And We inspired him, “You will inform them of this deed of theirs when they are unaware.”
      16. And they came to their father in the evening weeping.
      17. They said, “O father, we went off racing one another, and left Joseph by our belongings; and the wolf ate him. But you will not believe us, even though we are being truthful.”
      18. And they brought his shirt, with fake blood on it. He said, “Your souls enticed you to do something. But patience is beautiful, and Allah is my Help against what you describe.”
      19. A caravan passed by, and they sent their water-carrier. He lowered his bucket, and said, “Good news. Here is a boy.” And they hid him as merchandise. But Allah was aware of what they did.
      20. And they sold him for a cheap price-a few coins-they considered him to be of little value.
      21. The Egyptian who bought him said to his wife, “Take good care of him; he may be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.” We thus established Joseph in the land, to teach him the interpretation of events. Allah has control over His affairs, but most people do not know.
      22. When he reached his maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. We thus reward the righteous.
      23. She in whose house he was living tried to seduce him. She shut the doors, and said, “I am yours.” He said, “Allah forbid! He is my Lord. He has given me a good home. Sinners never succeed.”
      24. She desired him, and he desired her, had he not seen the proof of his Lord. It was thus that We diverted evil and indecency away from him. He was one of Our loyal servants.
      25. As they raced towards the door, she tore his shirt from behind. At the door, they ran into her husband. She said, “What is the penalty for him who desired to dishonor your wife, except imprisonment or a painful punishment?”
      26. He said, “It was she who tried to seduce me.” A witness from her household suggested: “If his shirt is torn from the front: then she has told the truth, and he is the liar.
      27. But if his shirt is torn from the back: then she has lied, and he is the truthful.”
      28. And when he saw that his shirt was torn from the back, he said, “This is a woman's scheme. Your scheming is serious indeed.”
      29. “Joseph, turn away from this. And you, woman, ask forgiveness for your sin; you are indeed in the wrong.”
      30. Some ladies in the city said, “The governor's wife is trying to seduce her servant. She is deeply in love with him. We see she has gone astray.”
      31. And when she heard of their gossip, she invited them, and prepared for them a banquet, and she gave each one of them a knife. She said, “Come out before them.” And when they saw him, they marveled at him, and cut their hands. They said, “Good Allah, this is not a human, this must be a precious angel.”
      32. She said, “Here he is, the one you blamed me for. I did try to seduce him, but he resisted. But if he does not do what I tell him to do, he will be imprisoned, and will be one of the despised.”
      33. He said, “My Lord, prison is more desirable to me than what they call me to. Unless You turn their scheming away from me, I may yield to them, and become one of the ignorant.”
      34. Thereupon his Lord answered him, and diverted their scheming away from him. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
      35. Then it occurred to them, after they had seen the signs, to imprison him for a while.
      36. Two youth entered the prison with him. One of them said, “I see myself pressing wine.” The other said, “I see myself carrying bread on my head, from which the birds are eating. Tell us their interpretation-we see that you are one of the righteous.”
      37. He said, “No food is served to you, but I have informed you about it before you have received it. That is some of what my Lord has taught me. I have forsaken the tradition of people who do not believe in Allah; and regarding the Hereafter, they are deniers.”
      38. “And I have followed the faith of my forefathers, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob. It is not for us to associate anything with Allah. This is by virtue of Allah’s grace upon us and upon the people, but most people do not give thanks.
      39. “O My fellow inmates, are diverse lords better, or Allah, the One, the Supreme?”
      40. “You do not worship, besides Him, except names you have named, you and your ancestors, for which Allah has sent down no authority. Judgment belongs to none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. This is the right religion, but most people do not know.

I'm glad you said that we don't have to 'save the world'. I think people mess things up when they do. If we take care of ourselves, while considering other people, it will all work out the way God wants it to.

What does Genesis 2:24 mean where two people become one. Does this mean they become an actual singular person. No. Echad is not the numerical form of one.

Rules and laws are needed to be set in place to keep things under control. And when one violate another human being's right then punishment, such violator should face. Now, if you want to live with God and in his kingdom then do God's will. If you don't want to live with God and live within his kingdom, then go by your own choice and be separated from God.

I was raised in an Assembly of God church. I might have had a Jewish great grandmother, I'm not sure because the only information I have about her is that she was stabbed to death with a butcher's knife in Odessa, Ukraine in the early 1900's. I know my great grandfather then sent his 2 young daughters to friends living in the Carpathian Mountains. He remarried a Jewish woman. I am not sure if he was Jewish, but I don't think so.

Was water not there already, in the void? He said he hovered over the face of the waters. He then ÷ the waters from the waters & the waters from the land. I see sound at first since he SAID let there be light With sound. I noticed a pattern with creation, he made sea creatures then sky creatures then land animals, right?

Respected Rabbi, Iam a Christian from India I have a question or a confusion about one verse in the Bible that is "Gensis chapter1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness." With whom God is telling that 'let us" and "our image' both the words are plural but we believe God is singular i.e one. Cloud you please clarify me

God was talking to the angels. The image he was talking about means "the same" as in "human who will have a free will to choose, and imitate God's characters. God is kind so human would be kind, etc.
And the reason he consulted the angels was to teach us to be humble, so even if you are in the highest position, you need to listen to others as well

Thank You Rabbi. I have a question. Why does God have to be a mystery? Why is it that I have to walk around convincing myself of God and the fact that I'm a mortal with such short time, and so vulnerable that I can be deceived by what seems real, and then feel guilty for getting frustrated. Is that an offensive question to God?

  • @Twilyhtmist

Hmm... 2 minutes into this video I had the clarity: Yes, Original Creator is ONE - but you say it 3 times because to be human is to BE a trinity Be-ing; it calls to EACH aspect of the human: Mind, Emotions, Body (and physical electro-magnetic energies - the other 2 aspects have their OWN subtle energies and emanations as well, but it's more collectively referred to as just "mind/consciousness" and "emotions/feelings"). So this is essentially an invocation - A SPELL, and/or a REMINDER - to INTEGRATE yourself, entirely! The less integrated a thing is, the more it leans towards fragmentation and degradation. It is a call to WHOLENESS, to each aspect of the human 'self' to "remember that as a PART - you are STILL ONE" - and as a human (made in God's image), you are still a part of original creator and can/SHOULD reflect this ONE-ness, yourself. Harmonic one-ness of all separate individuated parts/frequencies... that's how beautiful music is made, after all.

Way to make your statement man centered and full of eastern mysticism. That is truly the god of the age. Self. God is holy, which means totally other. Nothing is like him in all existence in his one being/tri personhood, but we are in his image being that we are representations of his attributes or nature, not in his being. We are one being and one person, in that way, not like God. The closest thing that we can relate to the mystery of what we understand about the Trinity on our world is Marriage and it's complimentary roles in a family unit. Instead you should look to Christ and be like him. He is the cornerstone the builders rejected but he is the exact imprint of the father. It was through him all things were created. From him, though him and to him are all things.

To me my mother is ultimately my God . She is the only one that stuck by my side unconditionally from the moment she brought me into the world and never left my side yet been the only one who unconditionally loves me and always had and will never stop ! Anything else is just a figment of my imagination and I don’t really care much if there is anything else . As long as I have the only person that truly matters to me that’s all that matters to me !

In the beginning, ONE divide once do not equal two. For the contrast is needed inorder to see/process the seperation. FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT = ONE, TWO, CONTRAST
In the beginning GOD is ONE
In the beginning GOD is ALL
So in the beginning GOD pulled from self to make man because in the beginning there was only GOD.
The breath of the father that rest within gives you life.
Any piece of infinity is still infinity. --- 2 corinthians 13:5 --- May the DOVE be upon you. follow his blood to salvation, CHRIST is the only way, unless you failed the test...
