I don’t like Oregon, but I respect the team, the coach, and the program. If ducks fans don’t want to root for us I understand, still it feels like it would be really good for PNW football cred and a fitting coda for the PAC 12 if we won it all. Long live the rivalry
As a UDub fan I gotta say you’ve got a really good channel good analysis and you’re a bigger man than me because I probably would have a hard time rooting for Oregon in this game and that’s pretty petty on my part but thank you for putting on some good analysis and providing a good rivalry and I am glad to see you continue in the big 10. I hope we both go in there and smoke all those guys.
Lets GO Washington!!! Represent the Pac 12 and Oregon can say they only lost to the champs.. As a Washingtom Fan iv always rooted for the Pac 12 when they were not playing the Dogs. And hate to say it but iv really enjoyed watching your coach Dan Lanning. What a guy! Seems to be a Great Father, Husband and Coach and you cant help but cheer for that guy. Would have loved to play for and him
My brother lives in Gresham, and I know a lot of people who are Duck fans, the majority of whom, believe it or not, are rooting for the Huskies. Yes, I’m a Husky fan and if I found myself in the position Ducks fans are in right now, I’d be rooting for the Ducks. The PAC-12, no matter who represents them, in this case the Huskies, needs to ride off in the sunset with a victory. After this game, PAC-12 football is no more. This Husky team is better than the CJ Stroud led Ohio State team many are comparing this Husky team to. The current iteration of the Wolverines was built to counter their heated rival, Ohio State. The Huskies are a different beast. In order for Michigan to win, they need to control time of possession, and run the ball down the throat of the Husky defense. Here’s the thing about the Husky D, they’ll bend, but so far this season, are yet to break. In 14 games this season, players on the defensive side of the ball have made those key stops and turned those key turnovers. It remains to be seen if they’ll be able to do that against Michigan. In order for Washington to win, they need to jump ahead early, and force JJ McCarthy to throw the ball, something where he doesn’t even compare to Penix. The only real 2 offensive weapons for Michigan are McCarthy and Corum, both of whom can run. McCarthy doesn’t have the offensive weapons Penix has in Odunze, McMillan, Polk, Dillon Johnson and Jack Westover, the latter 2 of whom can also block. Michigan will bring the pressure, but Penix has only been sacked 12 times this year. That means he gets sacked 0.8571 times per game. Give credit to that Washington offensive line. The Huskies have proven everyone wrong so far, and I believe they’ll do it again. Washington hasn’t faced a defense like Michigan’s, but Michigan hasn’t faced an offense like Washington’s. Penix throws darts, and has a plethora of receivers who can run routes, get open and most importantly, can catch the ball. It would be a disservice to any fan of any PAC-12 team to root against Washington. The Huskies are the conference representative, like it or not, and they need our support as they hope to ride off in the proverbial sunset. Washington 34 Michigan 31
Husky fan here since 1959 and alum. And subscriber here on a Duck fan board. Why? Because you have a quality site and I hope it grows. I also subscribe to Canzano's blog. Another Oregon fan site but quality content. And I'm 100% in agreement, when the final bell rings Monday we are Big 10 and we will represent, both schools will. My prediction..Washington by 10, there is no college team this season that can stop Washington's offense. Period.
I'm a Michigan fan who actually lives right by Boulder and saw the Ducks come in and slaughter the Buffs last year. I was impressed by how well you guys travel. This national championship is going to be epic. During covid, Penix gave Indiana it's first win over Michigan since..... 1987. It's hard not to be confident though after knocking off King Saban.
Respect. Husky fan checking in here. The last 3 games in this rivalry have been absolutely wild. Oregon had an incredible team this year but just had the misfortune that the Huskies were on a tear of their own. If the 12-team playoff was this season, you guys would have been a major threat to get to at least the semifinals. Bo Nix is a helluva QB and extremely likeable person. It was great to see him in NYC as a Heisman finalist. Going out the way he did for Oregon was a total class act and I'm grateful to him and the Ducks for crushing Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl. I don't like to cheer for Oregon against LU, I was pulling hard for you guys.
You just earned a sub my guy, appreciate the content and fun watch. Ain’t no better rivalry in college football the next few seasons than Oregon and UW. Wish y’all the (almost) best next year- husky fan
I’m a huskies fan but I love the rivalry and hopefully it brings better players to both schools. Now we will both be in the same conference as Michigan and Ohio state so hopefully more great young players will choose the north over the south. Oregon is a great school and great program
Michigan fan here, I think college football wins with either Washington or Michigan. But I do think you and many others underestimate this UM defense. I think Penix will still be able to make throws and run, but I don't think it'll be comfortable at all. That being sad as well, we never know until the game is played. Great takes though!
Husky/EWU fan here. Thanks Rian for honest sports comments without falling into the annoying back n forth insult nonsense. First came here in 2014 for your preview of the Ducks vs. EWU game before traveling to Eugene to see the game. Had a good time tailgating with the Duck fans. With all my Eastern gear on they had no idea I was a Husky season ticket holder lol. Strange seeing Vernon Adams in a Duck uniform. How about this thought, Huskies win the NC and the Ducks win it next year. The B1G would be ready to kick us out! Here is a suggestion for topic for the off season, tailgating! Such as best away tailgating schools, best recipes, best, mixture for the cooler, etc. Announce way ahead of time so you get some good input. Take care and happy new year!
Lifetime Wolverine here. Huskies are gonna say it's all bias, but....... The Ravens D we run is gonna limit but not stop the Penix show. If Texas had the best secondary in the country, would Washington have won the Sugar Bowl? Red Zone stops will probably be most Husky drives. So lots of field goals. The Huskies D is the type Michigan has scored north of 50 on this season, even after pulling all the starters in the 3rd or 4th quarter. The only way I see Washington winning is if Michigan makes a lot of mistakes, like their special teams did in Pasadena. Like JJ did against TCU in the first half of that game. Michigan 41 Washington 23 Go Blue!
Love the commentary and appreciate it! Tough loss today but gotta get back up and keep going. Go Dawgs Go Ducks . Next season is gonna be a new adventure for us all. Whoop! Cheers from a Dawg in Norway 🤘🏻🤩
Love your positivity, reasonableness and unity. It's true, UW is successful, then it looks great for Oregon Ducks, knowing that Ducks played close games w/ Huskies.
I pulled for Oregon in the first final 10 years ago as a UW fan. They represented the PAC12, West Coast & most importantly the PNW! Nice to see Oregon fans thinking the same way for UW
Lifelong Huskies fan and UW alum here. Great video & I totally agree with every point you've made. If the roles were reversed (which could have easily happened) I would definitely be rooting for Oregon. On the national stage it's great to have a PNW team in the big game no matter who it is!
I love my Huskies like crazy but I love the PAC 12 almost as much so when its us against them, I rooted for every PAC 12 team. I hope I am around to see the PAC 12 be reconstituted again which I think is possible because all the realignment doesn't make sense to me.
I was brought up on nothing but 🖕 for Washington. But I gotta go with them in this game. Simply can't bring myself to root for Michigan. Plus, the better Washington does this year the better the coming smack down next season will feel. And as a football fan, a Husky win would hopefully give more respect to PNW football all around. Win it for the Pac
I’m a Dawg for life. But you better believe I would be rooting for the Ducks if they were in this national title game instead of us. Having a PAC 12 team win the same year the conference ends would be epic either way.
People accusing you of not being a real Duck fan?!??! Well I, for one, will not stand here and let them bad mouth the United States of America!!! Go Ducks!!!
Why wouldn't you want Washington to win? It makes Oregon look better everytime Washington wins. We were really close. So it helps are ranking at the end.
As a Husky fan I would rather play Michigan than Oregon again. Washington has been an underdog all along. But now when they dismiss victories over Oregon they also disrespect Oregon. They will regret allowing the best PAC-12 teams into the big ten.
Im a Huskie fan and i could see why you wouldn't want UW to win, but knowing your Ducks are only getting stronger every year, you wouldn't worry about it. I dont think the NW gets enough respect so i think it should help all of us if the Dawgs win. I do think the Ducks could win it all next year or two. Bottom line very soon. Cheers
Oregon was the best team we played all year it was evident. Even this Michigan team isnt as balanced abd fast as Oregon. I think that's why Washington has so much confidence going into this game and going into all the other games they played. If they could beat Oregon twice they could pretty much beat anyone. Oregon look like the best team in the country against everyone but UW.
Funny. I grew up a Husky fan. I rooted for them and whoever was playing WSU and Michigan. I’ll always support the Ducks as well (except when they are playing the DaWgs).
I couldn’t agree more brother. Rome is special. He’s highly intelligent, high character, articulate, legit 6’3” 215 stud who runs a 4.4. Not only would I pick him with my first pick, I’d give him permission to marry my daughter.
I agree with this take. I think Washington's D is being underestimated. I don't think they're elite, or even great, but they have stepped up in games before...i.e. Oregon, who destroyed everybody, except for Washington.
I've been a Washington fan my entire life, and not a big fan of the Ducks, but I feel like the Ducks would have also beat Texas and could also match up well against Michigan and have.a shot at beating them. It will be fun to see how the Pac 12 teams do in the Big 10. I can tell you from all the Big 10 fans I've seen, they underestimate the Pac 12. I hope both Oregon and Washington beat Michigan and Ohio State when they play them.
It’s bizarre because this year I usually root against the ducks but since it was our final Outing, I was rooting for them to beat who ever they played.
Heck, I've been a husky fan my whole life, but routed for Oregon when they faced Auburn. Mainly for Kenon, but still wanted Oregon to win. Never understood actual hate. Also Oregon is a better team than Texas and will be a power house next year. We may be sitting in your seat next year, watching Oregon play for a title.
I'm a Dawgs fan, so I don't like the Ducks. But I want them to be good. I'm a regional dude, so I root for them in national games, the CFP game vs Auburn. I want them to be good, but I want UW to beat them. I'm excited to go to the B1G together while also being great at the same time. Go Dawgs! Good Luck Next year, but you probably don't need it :)
When I was a kid, the Huskies were the only sports team we had. No pro teams. I never root for the Ducks against anyone. Big time wins equate to big time recruits. Oregon has robbed our pipeline for too long. The World needs to right it's axis around Washington again, as designed. Woof.
I think Washington is going to get a lot of hate in Huston since they took down Texas. This will definitely be more like an away game for them, gonna be loud for them. Go blue!
Can Michigan do what they did vs OSU a couple years ago. If they can't shut them down can they pull out a win while the QB still had over 350 yrds and the WRs got their stats but they lost by 2 scores. That's their route if they don't just dominate
Honestly think Oregon this year is built just like Michigan - tough, great talent, great offense and defense. Both. A better run game than Michigan. Not any real weaknesses. Far more similarities than differences. So UW has already faced and beat a team similar to Michigan. But Michigan seems to have weirdly skated thru a 14 game schedule without playing even ONE halfway decent offense. Half the games were against teams with offenses not even in the top 100 - the rest mostly didn't even crack the Top 50! So the big question is HOW WILL MICHIGAN'S D FARE AGAINST AN ELITE OFFENSE WITH AN ELITE AERIAL ATTACK??? No one knows!
This will be a sack festival a good way to be welcomed into B1G .penix is a good qb just not mobile like Milton was. They seem like a good team a bit light on defense JJ will have fun throwing on Washingtons defense.GoBlue Michigan vs everybody 1more for the Natty !
I use to root for the ducks except when playing the huskies! Not anymore the fans are the worst I've ever experienced! I've been to many stadiums most fans are respectful not duck fans
I'm a Husky but I've become a fan of yours. Couldn't have more respect for you and your ability to be a good sport. I could not possibly root for Oregon under any circumstances. :)
Interesting hearing about this Oregon Fan rooting for Washington. As a Michigan fan, I find it very hard to root for OSU in any situation. Easier for MSU, I suppose because if you live in Michigan, chances are you have a relative/close friend who has a tie to either MSU or Michigan.
Forget about future rivalries, it’s all about air time , the Big Ten keeping their teams on tv in 4 time zones, more advertising dollars; welcome to professional minor league football, college football is done .
As a Ducks fan go huskies! I can’t stand Michigan and their cheating ways! Michigan gave up 51 points to TCU last playoff how in the world are they gonna stop Washington?
I am sorry I come from a different camp, I appreciate your honesty and support of us but man I HATED rooting for the Ducks in the bowl game. As a Dawg fan you will not hear me cheer for the Ducks unless they are playing that sham of a school started by a creep Jerry Falwell and his joke of a school Liberty (glad to see you guys beat up on them!)
Not cheering against UW, but I sure as hell am not rooting for them either. I respect their QB, wideouts and coach, but they can lose to Michigan just fine. Sidebar: Michigan can pound sand too 😂
@@briangriffith4574 Prediction and analysis are not the same thing. Michigan is built to beat OSU which is Washington with a better Defense especially in 21 and 22

Washington losing makes Oregon look worse... if UW wins there's an argument that Oregon was the 2nd best team in the country. If anything you should root for UW blowing them out!
@@viertelasiatOregon is worse. Why the fuck do you guys care how it makes Oregon look? The season is over after this game. @@budeverts What is it you expect here buddy, do Red Sox fans congratulate Yankees fans when they win. Embrace the rivalry, it’s what makes this sport the best.
Michigan is the #1 offense in the nation, and the #1 pass defense in the nation. Washington's defense is 53rd and their pass defense 123rd!! Washington should be worried about Michigan running up the score.

Let’s root for success of PAC4 division team in BIG10 next season unless playing against each other.
The true dilemma as a Duck fan is to root for UW as a PAC12 game or to root for Michigan so Harbaugh leaves to coach Herbert and the Chargers.
This will be a sack festival a good way to be welcomed into B1G .penix is a good qb just not mobile like Milton was. They seem like a good team a bit light on defense JJ will have fun throwing on Washingtons defense.GoBlue Michigan vs everybody 1more for the Natty !
Just so you know Alabama was 120th in sacks allowed at 4 per game UW is 3rd with .8 sacks allowed
This is not a Big 10 matchup. This will be the Pac 12s storybook ending. Until that clock hits quadruple zero, Cinderella will still be dancing.
My 2 favorite teams are Washington and whoever is playing the dux.
I use to root for the ducks except when playing the huskies! Not anymore the fans are the worst I've ever experienced! I've been to many stadiums most fans are respectful not duck fans
Do it for the PAC
I'm a Husky but I've become a fan of yours. Couldn't have more respect for you and your ability to be a good sport. I could not possibly root for Oregon under any circumstances. :)
I still think the 2 best teams in the country might be WA and OR. That might change if Meeshiegan stomps my pups.
Lt Dan doesn't seem like a HC that roots for his rivals... Me either
Michigan could become a bigger rival for the Ducks, you never know.
Oregon fans have been hating on UW all season.
The transitive property means nothing--Look at the score of Fuskie vs Beavis vs Oregon vs Beavis.
I’m a Michigan fan but I think Washington wins in a shootout like the tcu game. I’ll go 45-41
UW better be stout against the run all game long or Penix will be on the sideline watching most of the game.
😂😂😂
I am sorry I come from a different camp, I appreciate your honesty and support of us but man I HATED rooting for the Ducks in the bowl game. As a Dawg fan you will not hear me cheer for the Ducks unless they are playing that sham of a school started by a creep Jerry Falwell and his joke of a school Liberty (glad to see you guys beat up on them!)
Not cheering against UW, but I sure as hell am not rooting for them either. I respect their QB, wideouts and coach, but they can lose to Michigan just fine. Sidebar: Michigan can pound sand too 😂
May the better team win, buuuuuuut, GO Michigan!!!
Joel Klatt: "Michigan is built to beat a team just like the huskies lol.... I got Big Blue in the Natty
Also Joel Klatt. "Oregon will beat Washington in week 6.
Also Joel Klatt 'Oregon will beat Washington in thr pac 12 championship "
@@briangriffith4574 Prediction and analysis are not the same thing. Michigan is built to beat OSU which is Washington with a better Defense especially in 21 and 22
But Michigan doesn't know because they have not played even ONE good offenses all year - least of all an elite offense with an elite aerial attack!
BG74' Go hear Klatts incredible & insightful analyis video, touted his best ever @@briangriffith4574
Why? Their offense would be lower tier in Pac 12 and their defense is no great shakes. @Shaman196
I would root Oregon in any game except UW. Even being treated pretty crappy in Eugene.
I don’t get the childishness. (Either side) Sad.
Go Dawgs!! 💜
Where are the loser dogs got there balls cute of see u dogs nexst year lol go big blue baby
@@RichardNeis-ow5ucright here dude! LOL. And you lost to the team you call losers. 😂😂
Superb logic.
Let us know when you even make the playoffs. And can you at least construct a proper sentence as well when that happens? Clearly you will have a LOT of time 🙄
And I would still root for you guys if you ever do. I love this you tube channel and you are embarrassing yourself.
Stay classy 😎😵💫
I'm rooting for Michigan to win it all. I was born in Detroit and I was pissed at the Cowboys so I wanted Texas to lose as well lol.
#NeverHuskies

Im going for Michigan
Huck the Fuskies! I would rather see Michigan win the Natty. Go Ducks!
Schools will all lose players and everyone will think their team is being disrespected in the rankings. Fuck all that! If you’re a Ducks fan root against UW! Fuck the Ducks, Bow down to Washington!!
@@garrettrichardson5487 Your parents I’m sure tried to teach you sportsmanship. Bless your heart.
Washington>Oregon deal with it....
@@budeverts What is it you expect here buddy, do Red Sox fans congratulate Yankees fans when they win. Embrace the rivalry, it’s what makes this sport the best.
BIG10 standings by December of next year will be 1. Oregon 2. Michigan 3. Washington 4. Ohio State 5. Penn State
Michigan is the #1 offense in the nation, and the #1 pass defense in the nation. Washington's defense is 53rd and their pass defense 123rd!! Washington should be worried about Michigan running up the score.
Using Total yards when Michigan faced 300npass attempts compared to Washington who defended 500 pass attempts isn't the best stat to look at
Do you guys smoke weed everyday? Does the left coast smell like weed 24/7?
Michigan wins
