- My metal cover of the japense version of "Weight of the World" from Nier: Automata. Been wanting to challenge myself by doing this version for some time now, and it was a really fun experience!

I don't know why but this song sounds so much better in japanese than english. It's such a beautiful language. Hope to learn it some day.
I agree :) When it's sung it feels more natural, but I guess it was originally made in japanese and then translated to english.
The lyrics are actually different, the crruent theory is that the English version is about 2B and the Japanese version is about 9S

Your Weight of the World cover is what I found this channel with. Another Weight of the World cover is instant click. Now you pretty much have to do the chaos language version and complete the set :)
It popped up in a "My mix" playlist, since it's similar enough to what other musicians I listen to, and it earned an instant sub from me, as well, as soon as I heard it.
Everyone complains what version sounds better. I'm still hooked up on the fact Skar can sing so well in Japanese.

Heard your English version by accident and my jaw dropped. Then I got curious and checked if you did this Japanese version. Jaw hit the floor.
Holy shit really good. Not to be scientific and all but to all people wondering why his Japanese pronunciation is so good. Musicians are exceptionally good at listening and reproducing sounds, be it with an instruments or voice. You have no idea how many producers/musicians comunicate musical ideas with each other using their voices to mimic sounds. If they can do that, mimicing language is really no big deal.
you have people unable to properly speak English but then proceed to sing English perfectly, so there are instances that hint that lyrical pronunciations might be easier than actual ones.
I'm Japanese but, your Japanese sounds very GOOD! Thanks for uploading!

Dude, many of the Nier songs are sung in Chaos Langague, a language that don't even exist, it was created by the singer Emi Evans specally for the games. And the songs doesn't have translations, it's just random words based on multiple language words, like japanese, portuguese, english, italian, french and others. And man, this OST is one of the most emotional and powerful I ever heard. Search for the songs: Kainé (Salvation) and Emil's Despair...
Music is truly a universal langague, you just feel it.

Well, the easiest to pronounce it badly. There is a thin line between pronounce it well, so others can understand what you say somehow, and speaking it mostly perfectly, with the right tones and accent.
